So are we getting a pay raise and an extra week of vacation?
I'd say these are both a given in our upcoming contract negotiations... Meaning they cost ABSOLUTELY NO BARGAINING LEVERAGE.

So, if DALPA tries to spin them as a win, it is a demonstration of DALPA's irrelevance since they were GIVEN to non-contract employees. Don't go there DALPA.

I'm always in favor of more money and more time off, but to be clear, we already have a 5th week of vacation after 19 years of service. I wonder how long it takes the other employees to get the 5th week?

[QUOTE=Hawaii50;1612564]The threat of earthquakes helps keep the riff raff out. And by riff raff I mean anyone east of Palm Springs and north of Eureka.

Good one! The OC is the place to be or the surrounding cities!!

Yeah the one had the single core processor. The 2 got a dual core quads are on the way (if not already here). Its just a hardware limitation. I doubt a 4 generations old tablet from any other manufacturer would be any better, and would probably be built worse on a far less stable OS.

Whatever we get, I hope we are planning (and budgeting) for updating every single device at least once every 3-4 years. There is nothing we can get that will be timeless.

My first reserve day is the 7th. Should/can I keep my current beard (Joemomma already giving me $hit) or do I wait till the 7th (joemomma's opinion....but she's normally wrong on aviation matters).

Don't want to screw this up!

Keep a pressed shirt near a packed bag ready to head out the door to be in the crew room in half an hour. When they call tell them you need a minimum of 2 hours. That gives you an hour and a half to get the beard off. If that's not enough, check in over the phone while running directly to the gate.

Its not like regular shaving where you can make 3-4 glides per rinse. If you have some seniority and you did it right, the most you will be able to remove between rinses is about half an inch. And its going to hurt. But its a good kind of hurt.

Child's play. There's actually about a 2-3% greater chance that the "big one" (the close to 10.0 one that will make '89 look like a community theatre dress rehearsal) will happen in LA rather than the Bay.

We already have a 5th week of vacation, and we got our raise on Jan 1. 3 months ago.

Our next pay raise is in 9 months. A raise for other employees is unknown.

An appropriate widebody fence, coupled with a shorter current category fence, would mitigate a lot of the potential stagnation. Especially if we can grow the widebody fleet as rumored even by a little bit.

I was. I went in the settings and did the "clear cookies and data". So far it seems to be working like normal.
