I'm just sharing a couple of rumors I've heard from DALPA guys and CP types and trying to verify. that is all.
I would have to guess that productivity lost by the number of deadheads added to cover that type of flying would far far outweigh the costs when somebody calls in sick because of a sick kid.

This company makes billions a quarter, it would be kinda sad if they were pinching pennies over people wanting to stay home and take care of sick kids.

He retired from the military in 2002. He was most recently was a chief pilot for Delta Airlines.
We have lost a great man.

Very sad news today.

I tend to agree with you. IMO, the company and ALPA have arrived at the end state sick leave. Talking to the CPO, they pretty much let you "manage" the first 100 hrs how you see fit. From the CPOs mouth.

These laws allow the use of one's sick time for more than kids. If a guy can use his sick time to take care of his parents'/wife's/grandkids' etc. injuries, illnesses, treatments, surgeries, etc...it becomes a lot more than "penny pinching."

Keep in mind, these laws apply to more than just pilots...they apply to every employee with sick time.

Who, this Marco Rubio? Couldn't possibly be...

Miami Airport and Sen. Rubio: Unacceptable customs lines must be addressed

T, might be time for a second letter and/or visit to his office... Gotta love politicians.

Quick question... If you are over the white slip pickup limit, can you swap with the pot for more time?

You can, hopefully that is something we will be able to fix in the next contract or at least have a limit.

Oh, and the R's are grooming him to run for POTUS.

A total douche...not that that would be a change from any of the POTUS in the past what, 40 years?

Rubio vs. Clinton...can we get a Do-Over?

Default Ebola?

I have an upcoming trip to Accra with Morovia turns. Just read in the news that Ebola is spreading in Guinea and Liberia (Monrovia is in Liberia). Too close for comfort. This is too close to our Africa ops. What re-course do we have in situations like this? Any input?
