Certainly.

However, if that number is in the ballpark, it will greatly impede our ability to negotiate a contract anywhere near "restoration." Or much more than "cost neutral," for that matter.

If it's just a matter of convincing a small number of "non-automatic" folks to accept a mediocre TA, we'll see more of these mediocre TAs (and more full-bore sales jobs from the company/DALPA sharpshooting a very small demographic). It's the path of least resistance.

AvWeek states Delta will have a widebody RFP out by the end of next month and a order by year end. Hope they are right.

Ahhhhh, what if Airbus comes out with a A-330 NEO? Any bets on that?

RA was quoted as saying "Airbus needs to re-engine the 330. We need a small wide body." He also mentioned interest in the C-series with GTF's to fit between the 717 and the 737-800. Could be a great year if it all pans out.

All you really need is the actual reg and res lines awarded April 2012 and actual reg and res lines awarded April 2014. That's the best comparison.

I like the C-Series, hope we get 500 of them.

Just a thought but a C-Series sitting between the 717 and 738, that's a crowded field. Currently, you have a 117 MD-88s at 149 seats, 10 737-700s at 124, 57 A319s at 126, 69 A320s at 150, throw the 65 MD-90s in for good measure at 160 seats.

I guess the C-Series 300 seats at 130 seats? Hmmm.

Any word on the MD-88 and NextGen? Because my bet, knowing Continental and now Delta, is they're getting an RFP for an MD-88 replacement and replacing MD-88s with 130 seaters and I doubt it'd make it to a 1:1 replacement, probably less. A319 vs CS300, who wants to make a deal?

/Capacity discipline.

If the CS300 came in and the 88s exited stage left, we're going to start to have an even more random fleet then we do now.
