Yep. There were 4 or 5 guys on that plane that everyone avoided (avoids) like the plague. Made for a miserable trip, and probably why I am where I am today. I told one LCA wannabe the rest of the legs were his after day 1. This was after he poked his lip out because I wouldn't play his "here's how I want the air conditioning system run" speech/handout, and I told him I'd run the packs the way Delta trained me to, and like I'd been doing it for the last 9 effing years.

I immediately changed my default bid with a "do not pair with." I've been flying commercially since 1993 and did not ever use that function before.

Two have been added which make pac man a pleasure to fly with in contrast. One fights with everyone; the A line, the Controllers, Mechanics, ALPA, Delta ... everything is someone else's fault, if he misses a radio call the airplane's broken. If he screws up a clearance the HUGS was at fault .... it's easier to babysit my four year old ... it is a constant job just to try to stay out of trouble by association.

In fact he is really a pleasure to fly with these days. Yes, he can be a bit too enthusiastic, but he flies a good jet. It is not too hard to get along with anyone for 4 days that can operate the equipment reasonably well. Same with flossie and Charter god. They both fly well.
But since we are on this topic, what would everyone think of a resolution to add "do not pair with" to White and Green Slip preferences for Captains and First Officers?
I'm sure we have some FO's who fit TOTD (heck, maybe even me after nanner pudding). Seems simple enough to add that filter to PBS.

There used to be a Duschanbe in ATL 73N, 73G and later 75/76 with a gigantic case of Tuleremia. Whenever he was on someone's line, they would get ill. The surprise was that he was a P-3 Navy guy. I think he was the only bomba de culo from that community in history. Anyway, DAL and ALPA told him they were going to stop giving him legal defense if he didn't early retire when the huge chunk of guys early retired prior to bankruptcy.
