What part of the FOM does he reference? Maybe I'm missing it, but the only place in the FOM I see it saying no sleeping on the jumpseat is in the "cabin jumpseat" section. Nothing I can find about that on the cockpit jumpseat.

I bet if the CPO had a TOTD award it'd be very interesting.

ALPA has one.

I wonder what he does when there is an off-line jumpseater sleeping and he can't "write them up" ?

Probably calls their CPO.

To which they probably want to end the call after 10 seconds.

Hell, if you don't want someone sleeping on your jumpseat, and you find out they're sleeping on your jumpseat, wake them up.

When I was a Captain, I didn't care if someone slept on the JS... it made it quieter. I don't want to talk to people. I don't like people. If I wanted to talk to someone, I'd text them.

Like I said, with "one place, right place, someplace" I could be missing it but I don't see it in there for cockpit j/s...only cabin. Now, it's his cockpit so he can brief me that he doesn't want me sleeping on the jumpseat, but writing me up for violation of policy? He better be able to point to it in print.

he's a tool - you're right, the only part about sleeping is in the "Cabin Jumpseat" section.

Easily debunked story. There is no reference in the FOM.
