Sheesh!
My favorite clearance from Atlanta final ... "keep your speed up until you get scared."

Maybe....but where Trippe lost was his influence either retired or failed reelection and he had already pi$$ed the opposition off. I believe in today's environment, RA has played the game well and is willing to concede now, amid uproar, to gain further.

I don't know of any consistent cranky pants off the top of my head... it wasn't the guy with the really thick accent, was it? I have the worst time understanding him sometimes.

Default Smuggling at SAN

Some DGS employees busted for smuggling at SAN. I never understood why aircrew are seemingly screened more thoroughly then some other contract employees (NON KCM obviously).

I'll tell you why, because their BUDDIES are the ones doing the screening.

No, it was a younger guy trying to slide an RJ in behind us and messed up his spacing. Didn't help that there was moderate turbulence from about 12000 to 230, hooching winds out of the north and ceilings at 300'. Apparently, I was supposed to intercept final about 2 miles from the marker at 250. The CA was great on the radio. I like the ATL guys. This guy was having issues.

Might have been a new trainee (there are a lot of them), hence the frustration. That guy totally screwed the pooch and was deflecting it on you. We may see more and more of that over the next few years as the old guys are replaced.

You're right, though... they've overall got a great group. It's the best laid out runway structure in the world with a very functional ramp structure. That place moves the metal with fewer delays like nowhere else.

We need to fix the ASAP reporting program so when we click the nature of the event there is a box for "All the Above."
I haven't laughed that hard in a while! Funny stuff!
