2. You can increase/zoom on the page for bigger pictures and letters. Nice for older eyes.

Down in ATL for training I ran into the guy responsible for the surfaces and getting them up to speed for us. First thing he said is that what we get on roll out will not be the final product. They will be doing many upgrades to its features but it will take time. Think of the initial product tablet 1.0

On the other side of the coin I will not be using it for personal use. I will still carry my own tablet or laptop.
Using the tablet is a huge improvement. It saves a lot of time shuffling around different books and pages. Great for night ops, and zoom is priceless anytime.

MEL items in particular are way easier to look up.

No one should ever use a company device to check anything extracurricular. Ever.

Porn?

Posting to APC while domestic?

Discussing DAL scheduling rules while flying to MSP?

Just a few thoughts.

Is this for real or are you being sarcastic? I suspect it's the former, but I'm not sure

I am all for it. I use both adsb and NEXRAD flying on my own. The FAA does not feel the same. Most of our pilots will use it as another tool. Some will over rely on it. I still fly with guys who don't understand why we use the enroute park position on the radar.

(For the record, I agree with T. I've just been waiting for an excuse to use that GIF....)

Here is a short article that discusses the issues with data linked radar.

When Using NEXRAD Can Be Dangerous | PlaneAndPilotMag.com

As I mentioned however I use it all the time and it's a great tool if you understand the limitations.

Default IS&S Update?

Hey everybody! I was searching back in the thread and was wondering if there are any updates on the proposed IS&S avionics upgrade plans with the 88/90 fleet. Can't find much information since the initial announcement.

Thanks!
