Quick question (looking at PWA now but this forum is usually quicker!)
Had a one day turn this Sun with an LCA, but now there is an "L" next to the flight numbers and the remarks say it's an IOE for someone. Does this mean I go on reserve now for that one day? Do I still need to commute into base?
Thanks in advance!

Default Rumor mill

Just flew with a pilot who had a DAL jumpseater who heard a rumor that the company has floated snapping us back to 2004 pay rates in exchange for a contract extension. I don't think they would "offer" that without some huge quid to offset. Has anyone else heard this rumor?

Not going to vote for any repeat of the last contract....... Heard it here first.....

Anyone have a copy of C2004 pay rates?

This just means that correctly an oe is scheduled. They will normally call the evening before around 1900 to release you from the trip.

Ref 23.g.5 It's your trip until crew scheduling release you. They usually do that at 7pm the night before. Once they release you, you have no father obligations. You might have to commute in depends on the timing. They'll most likely to let you go, but they've canceled OE the night before on me, so better be ready to report as scheduled until they tell you.

The last two of these they have made me show at the airport before releasing me. The discussion points were (1) Delta's paying him, so make him show and (2) what if something goes wrong with IOE.

It was a little aggravating to fight two hours of rush hour traffic to get in, but even more so if you had to commute in ....

Haven't heard that rumor, but the "contract extension" is definitely in Anderson's play book. NWA guys got one post 9/11, pre bankruptcy. I don't really remember the details of what they got out of it as I was on furlough at the time. I remember a 10% pay raise on signing, which was pretty good considering the post 9/11 negotiating environment.
