Positive values indicate a posted Captain advance entitlement and negative values indicate a posted Captain displacement

Well I tried to post the numbers but can't make it format. Essentially however we had 231 CA displacements since contract 2012 was signed. We have had 761 CA awards in that time frame for a net of 530 new awards. I don't know the exact retirement numbers however about 160 Working CA's went out on the ER program and I am guessing at about 100 additional retirements. That still leaves a gain of 270 Captains while overall block hours are almost flat. Pretty remarkable in light of the massive job loss from the contract.
And my only point was, those were mostly narrow body Capt. spots, not 777 or 747 Capts. As FTB just showed, we are down nine 777 Capts. since 2012. I don't recall seeing any huge amount of 747 Capt. replacements either, so I'm guessing they are down as well.

Where did you get the +56 777/747 Capt. number?

Very well, then lets see a chart comparing pilots to block hours to see the change.

No kidding... That jumble of numbers is a pain to decipher, but it wreaks of bad data, or, more typical with sailiing, bad analysis on first glance.

I stated that 56 747/777 bids were posted as replacements for retiring pilots after it was posted that none were replaced. More then 56 retired in the ER program. Please tell where the numbers wreak. They are straight from crew planning and I checked them against the bids I could still locate. Please show me your data that causes these numbers to wreak?

You stated that NONE of the 777 or 747 captains who retired have been replaced. The 56 number comes from crew planning. I never stated we are up 56 positions. 56 bids were posted. 20 in Aug of 12, 8 in Oct of 12 and 11 in Mar of 12 for the 747. On the 777 8 bids were posted in Oct of 12 and 9 more in Mar of 12. Total for both aircraft 56. That's slightly more then none.

Go look on Delta net at the crew planning news letters. They discuss block hours. I think the current one says we are down 2 percent in block hours this January compared to 2013.

Ok, I give up trying to post the numbers in a readable format on here. I thought I had it and it did not post correctly again. I will be happy to send the data to anyone who can post it correctly.
