Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
65 percent of our pilots voted for this contract. You know, the one that allows more 76 seat regional jets to be ordered by Delta to be flown by non-Delta pilots. The trend is not reversing course. More and more efficient jets continued to be outsourced. DCI is shrinking, but flying is not being brought in-house. If we keep the same course, our next step is allowing more seat in the jets already being outsourced in return for parking more 50 seaters.

While your 717 schedule may feature 5 legs a day, E-175 crews are doing 2-3 legs a day with a nice variety of flying.
Yeah, who would want that to be at the career carrier vs. a vendor.?
Who would want the chance to bid to fly on that ghastly machine, that rolled out the same time as the 777, is loved by passengers, has the range to do some unique missions for it's size, the list goes on.

Alright here is an idea and I have no idea how it'll turn out beforehand, but do any of the CPZ, EV, 9E, RAH or OO guys flying 76-seaters care to share their trips? Pick your favorites.
Max # of short calls changed?
I'm on reserve and I noticed on the reserve availability list that my max number of short calls is 8 for this month. Did I miss something? Do we have a new LOA? I have not received a reply from my rep asking the question.
so go back 10 years, 69 jumbo RJs (counting 34 69-seat Avros), 154 DC9s.
Today -154 DC9s, +88 717s net of -66 mainline jets in this particular mission size. 69 RJs (35 CR7s at DAL and 34 Avro 85s at NWA) became 295 jets or net change of +226. That 295 number can go up to 325, which is above the 255 mark when a deal was reached on the 717.
To me, it looks like they were content operating the jumbo RJs in replacement of the "100 seater" until they got a deal they couldn't pass up on. Now if we've got a chance to bring the jumbo RJs to mainline, let's get em'. I'd rather have the jumbo RJs on property than outsourced, heck, I'd rather have the EMB-110 on property than outsourced.
Long live the EMB-110.
