Don't tell the company! They have been throwing a lot of extra money at me!
I think we are saying the same thing however. Any leg covered under RR pay you will get double pay. You get single pay and credit plus single pay no credit. If your normal per hour rate is 140 you get 280 for RR legs.

I am guessing that a lot of this had to do with socio-economic issues, but it was an eye opener nonetheless. In the early 1940s, if a person worked to age 65, his average life expectancy was 67.

There is an interesting website called livingto100.com. There is a simple questionnaire you fill out to give you a better idea how long you are going to be on the planet.
I think it's a fact that on average the earlier you retire the longer you live. If however you adjust those statistics to account for income the difference basically goes away. In general people who retire early have higher income and better access to health care so they live longer.

Some of those sequences w/ the WWI era planes looks like the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in NY. Cool place to check out if you're interested.

Good TOTD story a friend just told me about....

He was deadheading yesterday (on DAL) and the PIC made the welcome aboard PA stating that he was a retired F16 pilot and the copilot was a C130 pilot so nobody should have any concerns as they are in excellent hands. LMFAO

"My story? Oh, well, I started college at 19, after 7 years and four colleges I graduated. I didn't know what to do with myself so I worked at Blockbuster. One day I was watching Top Gun and decided I wanted to be that guy. So I took out some huge loans on my 26% AMC Theatre credit card and got my pilots licenses. I was a certified flight instructor instrument and flew right seat on a Piper Chieftain when they had to do maintenance flights. But lucky for me a senior fourth floor type owed my mom, don't know why he did but she said he just did, and thus I got to come straight here to Delta to the ER. It was nice skipping the whole regional and military thing. Why do you ask?"
