Fwiw, 16-18 years would put you around the 6000 number. That number had been able to hold captain as a line holder for several years and the ER in NYC on reserve.
6000 is very deep into the lines in NYC, DTW and ATL.. I am not sure about west coast stuff...
Not saying I am satisfied with progression, just presenting accurate info.
Well, that depends how how one faired in the SLI doesn't it. One friend is mid 17 years and well above 7000, while my buddy hired 3 months after him is real close to 6000. BTW, he works almost every weekend and holiday, not the QOL I would hope for given the YOS.

There's a big difference in seniority between 16 and 18 years. I'm right at 16 years and my number is around 7300. I've been a Captain for 7 years but at the very bottom of the 88 and on reserve the vast majority of the time working almost all weekends and holidays. (I always bid for a line too.)
Not complaining... but just pointing out that your post is not quite 100% accurate.

News, good news, for our new hires ....
FEBRUARY AE AWARD AND THE NEXT AE
The January 2014 AE bid award was posted on February 4. The goal of the AE was to adjust staffing for the 2014 summer operation, with our primary focus on the 7ER First Officer position. The AE award resulted in 296 AEs, 25 reinstatements and no displacements. On the bid we posted 50 7ER First Officer openings and filled 36 leaving 14 unfilled. ATL had six 7ER-B unfilled positions and DTW had eight. Other unfilled positions included: ATL73NB (6), DTW73NB (2), NYC73NB (31), DTW320B (5), NYC320B (13), ATLM88B (22), NYCM88B (19) and ATL717B (8). These positions will be filled by new hires and posted on future bids.

Not complaining either, but some perspective. Starting 28 th year in ATL gets you in the bottom 5 percent on the ER or just a handful of positions off of reserve on the 320

DALPA did not promise hiring as a result of C2012. But you already knew that.

Help please.
I was awarded a green slip two day trip on reserve in January that went out on the last day (x day). It started as a one leg DH then layover. Day 2 was 7:37 of flying and I was a schedule holder in that month. I know I get 2:00 of pay on day one with a payback day.
What do I get paid for day 2?
4 phone calls later I'm still not sure

Also you should get 7:37 at double pay, no credit as long as you have 75:00 of monthly credit on your time card for the lineholder month.
