That line might not exist. Maybe a mobile quarterback like Kaepernick would have made it more of a game. But, I don't think any offense would have had a chance against the Seahawks on Sunday.

Let's start with the "special committee" which, several months ago, had racked up $60k some-odd in FPL, all so DALPA bureaucrats could jet around the system to drink, buy beer, and spread the DALPA gospel...on our dime.
Didn't they go to Paris, too?
What's the final FPL tally and beer tab from that boondoggle?
Sounds pretty cushy to me. Not to mention, a complete waste of our dues money.

We offered the material, and the opportunity to talk to us in the lobby at their convenience and only if one desired to do so. And many did. We had 1-2 hour conversations with many pilots. Sitting in a hotel lobby for 8-12 hours per day ain't exactly a peachy time. Personally, I'd rather fly my trip. It'd be a lot more enjoyable. I actually spent more time on the road volunteering for a hotel visit then if I would've flown my trip. So I wasn't actually paid for all of my time on the road.
So maybe get off the rumor train and actually make some calls for facts. BTW, we received a lot of feedback from our pilots about wasting a downtown layover on a short overnight. A personal poll resulted in many stating that they felt 15 hours was the min time required to enjoy a downtown NYC overnight. And guess what the min layo for a downtown NYC layo is now?
If you think it's such a cushy job, then get on the phone and call the DPN or P2P coordinator. They're always looking for volunteers, and people aren't lined out the door. I wonder why, since it's such a cushy job?

Be careful out there, and know your Part 117 limitations. Company is still sending pilots out on non-compliant rotations. Saw one last night where a pilot was only given a 9:43 minute layover on the rotation as written before a working leg. Had to call to force them to give him a 10 hr rest.

They assigned me one on reserve that was a 30 in 168 violation.
I called and asked about it and they said "good catch" and took it off my line.

During snowageddon last week I received a text reroute message during a layover that had me reporting earlier than originally scheduled. Problem was, the message came 50 minutes before my new report time - not even remotely legal. Tried to call them and tell them as such but after 45 minutes on hold and two disconnected calls, I gave up.
