Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Haha good plan. You and Ferd have a safe trip.

Ok..ok..Denny! Just wanted to get the juices flowing for the big game! I think it's all gonna come down to the guys in the trenches (as always)! May you find a 60 inch LCD to enjoy the festivities on your layover..

Cool that I saw this, just sitting in Roasters having dinner. Yup, I'm sure we can find an expat joint with the game. I'm torn, being in the NFC West myself plus being a SEA guy I want to cheer for the Hawks.....but I sure do want Payton to show'em (us old guys rule). Guess I can't lose
So, if you all are talking about Beijing, go to the Embassy District. Just west of the main row where the US Embassy is are several expat bars. They will have he game.
Be warned. Many expat pilots there as well.

Make sure who adds a DH leg back to MSP? Tracking? If I could, I would. I talked to both the MSP CPO and the CPSC they both agreed the reroute to nowhere was bogus - but they couldn't officially change my rotation. Oh, and I use the term "rotation" loosely, since the PWA specifically defines a rotation as beginning and ending in domicile... In the end, I deviated using the VRU. Guess we'll wee what happens. What a messed up week
Denny, if any of your crew has Dish Network back home using the "Hopper" (dvr player/recorder) you could watch it through Dish Anywhere on ipad/PC etc. It allows you to watch anything you have recorded or live TV through that portal.
If you have a way to hook the device you are using up to a TV you could have a Superbowl party. Hopefully they will be playing it on the TV at the hotel as that would be easier. Good luck. Go Hawks!

We are never weight restricted, however the flight runs full to the gills almost all the time. Very few non revs get on especially with the new seat config with fewer seats. It is a real crap shoot and you need to watch the loads like a hawk. Be pre paired not to get on in JFK and TLV
Can you educate me on this new seat config? Are the numbers I see on travelnet for available seats accurate?
We thought we would give it a go because it is low season. I have United benefits as well, they have 2x a day to EWR. With all that said....this will be my first real overseas (off-continent) trip as a nonrev so I do have some learning to do. I have commuted before in the US and know that game, but not having the backup of a jumpseat adds some stress and I will try to leave for home at least a day early. Will probably have to buy ZEDs as backup. Any other suggestions appreciated!
I also need to do some research on where I can get a cargo jumpseat (Atlas/Polar where you can go int'l) out of Europe as a further backup. My wife is good on her own for a few days if it comes down to that.
