Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Heyas,
Just to echo what the above poster said:
There is ZERO information floating around about the SLI. No rumors, no news, no nothing. Typically in this case, that means something is in the works, and people are sitting on it.
I would expect that announcements will depend on the voting over at DAL. It's a forgone conclusion that the JPWA will pass at NWA, but DAL is, from what I'm told, marginal.
If it looks like things are too close for comfort over at DAL, I'd expect it to be announced before the close of voting, since if an agreement is reached, it is binding on both irregardless of the vote result.

What's JPWA?

I don't expect to come out of this any type of "winner" but I don't expect to be screwed either. "Fine" is fine with me.

I don't expect to come out a winner.....or a loser. I don't want to gain anything at the expense of a NW pilot, nor do I expect a NW pilot to gain at my expense.
Maybe saying fine was the wrong word. A negotiated list is just that, a negotiated list. That means give and take at the table. I don't know any pilot at Delta who wants to screw anyone. We just want a fair list.
I stand by what I said. Lee Moak wants a deal so bad he will give a little more at the table than he would have otherwise in order to get the list done and accept a list that is less than fair for the Delta pilots.
Frankly, at this point I hope it does go to arbitration. I think the Delta pilots have a better shot at a fair list with an arbitrator than at the hands of our own MEC.

Bear in mind that Lee, as well as the MEC members and the negotiating committee members, are all line pilots. In your scenario, they would be screwing themselves, as well their fellow pilots (with whom they'll have to work for many more years). That would be a high price to pay for that achievement. I think a conspiracy is unlikely here.

"Fair", in this case, is in the eye of the beholder. Just like in "Animal Farm", where all are supposedly equal, some consider themselves "more equal".
I'm sure if you took a NWA guy and a DAL guy at random, chances are that their ideas about what's fair are completely different.
While I'm loathe to comment on another group's MEC, to think that your MEC is looking out for anyone other than their own pilot group is ridiculous on it's face.

Let me make one thing clear. I don't think there is a conspiracy on the part of our MEC to screw the Delta pilots.
I do think that many of our MEC members are so invested in this process that it is clouding their judgement. Do I think they would intentionally take a less than fair list, no. But I do think their perception of fair is being overwhelmed by a desire to close the deal
