I'm trying to find contact information for the Crashpad Oasis in NYC. The website I have doesn't work anymore and I think I'm going to try staying there next month. Would someone please PM me a link or phone number?

The Oasis is out of commission. They had a pipe burst on the third floor causing significant damage to the entire building. I received a text saying to make other plans for the next several weeks.

Thanks for the info. I tried their website again and it's working for me know. Unfortunately this is what is says,

UPDATE 16 January 2014

Things are moving along. The house has spent the last four days drying out! Ceilings and walls have been taken down, and carpets have been removed. Working thru insurance and contractors now to figure out all the work and prices. Moving forward. We have received timeframes from 2 months to 8 months to get back to normal. Please plan ahead.

So, any alternatives for a crashpad near JFK that has a pay per night setup like Oasis?

I fly the challenger 604, I believe that was a 601, but the same wing which is very critical. If in fact they were coming in with a 30 kt tail wind I'm amazed that they were even able to keep that thing in the air to make it to the runway. Not saying that there wasnt a tailwind cause you can def see the snow blowing in the direction of a tailwind. I had heard they tried to go around but looking at that video they touched down. Either way scary video

I've never been into Aspen, is there a reason (terrain?) they could not circle to land opposite direction, i.e. with a 25kt headwind vs. tailwind?

Its in a bowl. One way in and one way out, land 15 takeoff 33 due to terrain. The trouble with aspen is that the weather can change pretty quick. We go to Eagle for that reason. Was in EGE that following weekend

How long is the runway? I don't think there's a runway long enough to make me want to land with a 25kt tailwind! Never mind our 10kt limit.

I guess if I were out of gas or on fire and that was the only pavement available I'd consider it....but what were these guys thinking? Was there an emergency or were they unaware of the winds? (no ATIS, tower closed, etc?)

I got back in at MB's place in Howard Beach $250 per month. Easy on the Air Train. The pics on the Oasis site look bad.
