FWIW, the swap went thru and the coverage is still showing 20/20.
No it won't because that swap would cause the reserve coverage to go 20/19. You will need it to be 20/21 to get the swap. You can't PD it either for the same reason.
One thing that would be nice to get is allowing swaps if we swap into a "worse" coverage situation. A lot of times I have wanted to swap a trip that was even on coverage for one that was on days that were negative. Still won't allow it.

Sometimes it was just easier at a party ... a regional guy gets tired of...
"I fly for ASA"
"ASA, what's that?"
"Atlantic Southeast Airlines"
"Eastern, I thought they were out of business"
"Yes, I mean no, ASA was part of Delta, but got sold to SkyWest"
"Oh, so you fly for Southwest? They're flying out of Atlanta?"
"No, we still fly for Delta, but we're owned by SkyWest"
"Oh, so Delta? Why do you drive such a crappy car then?"
... and it does not get better ...
"So last year you were explaining you worked for Southwest, Southeast, or Delta or something, right?"
"You are a Captain, right"
"I got hired at Delta in April"
"I thought you told me ASA was a Delta subsidiary. Didn't you just transfer? So Wow, you are a Delta Captain?"
"No, I am a First Officer"
"So you can't fly anymore? That sucks"
"That car of yours is getting to be a classic ... maybe you should keep it ...."
Moral of the story, we should stop outsourcing.

There is a significant amount of "churn" during each PCS run.
It may have showed 20/20 before the run, and 20/20 after, but when it processed your request, it was above the requirement.
I've had PDs awarded when there was clearly not enough coverage at the start of the run. It just depends on what the coverage looks like when it gets to YOUR request. That's why you always try, even if it looks like it won't float.
FWIW, there was a resolution passed recently to change the way the PCS works. Rather than just one pass through the requests per PCS run (except for swaps, which are run twice if a swap is awarded), the resolution calls for changing the language to have 2 passes per PCS run.
The net effect of this will be to "shake out the churn" and allow more requests to be awarded per run due to trips, reserve days and reserve coverage that becomes available during the first pass.

In all seriousness I was just trying to make a point that what lanyard someone wears is an insanely asinine topic to concern oneself with. I also wanted to see what the reaction would be to he food court story that I knew about so I took it out for a spin. The reaction was as I predicted.

Does a look of shame on my face count as "wearing something"?

Looks like they're already "pruning the operation" in JFK in anticipation of 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow. If you're re-routed into an extra day due to a preemptive cancellation (the day before a snow event) do you still get pay, no credit for the extra day, or is this considered a "weather event."
