Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

nope. And even if it was I would be surprised if it was announced until the JPWA voting is done.

I have to agree with acl65 on one hand, and disagree on another. I think the SLI is either done or almost complete. But, I don't think we will see anything until after the voting is done. I would not be surprised to see an SLI within a week or two of the end of voting.

Quick and painless, please.

Like most of you this is total speculation but I too think the SLI is done or very close. I have had contacts with two different individuals on involved in negotiations one close to it.
The one involved had been open and willing to answer questions until about 5 to 6 days into the negotiations that started around the 12th. At that point he answered my last email but said both sides had decided to "focus" on finishing the negotiations and would not have time to answer emails and questions. I must add I do not know this individual except as a rep, i.e. not a friend. All I can say he had always answered questions before and been of the belief that the SLI would get done. The tone of the email was the MECs wanted no leaks.
Now the second person I talked to was someone who works for NWA but has lots of military buds at DAL. I talked with him before the JPWA came out and he gave me details on the agreement from what he had been told. They were pretty much spot on. He also made the comment that he had heard from both sides that the SLI was very close to being done.
Could be a load of crap from both guys, but I think that the tea leaves indicate we are close to an agreement. Could it fall apart at the last minute? You bet.
My guess is that we will see the agreement after the voting closes. No one here can believe it is a coincidence that the SLI date to go to arbitration is after the voting closes.

Heyas,
Just to echo what the above poster said:
There is ZERO information floating around about the SLI. No rumors, no news, no nothing. Typically in this case, that means something is in the works, and people are sitting on it.
I would expect that announcements will depend on the voting over at DAL. It's a forgone conclusion that the JPWA will pass at NWA, but DAL is, from what I'm told, marginal.
If it looks like things are too close for comfort over at DAL, I'd expect it to be announced before the close of voting, since if an agreement is reached, it is binding on both irregardless of the vote result.

I bet it won't go to arbitration. IMHO, Lee Moak wants a deal bad. He is so hell bent on being part of the first merger to have the pilot issues settled prior to DCC. I fear he will accept less than an ideal list in order to get the deal done. Worse, I think he will direct our merger committee to come up with a list that the NW pilots think is fine.
Hope I am wrong. Betting I am not.
