Fix the problem and move on. It's not like the company doesn't have the money to throw at this.

I agree. Both parties will need to negotiate a settlement to this issue. In the meantime, we have a contract. A signed legal document that clearly spells out our obligations to to company- there has been no change to that. Only the effect has changed. No memo can alter that contract. It's disrespectful to all pilots to abrogate a section of our agreement in a unilateral way as an alternative to negotiations. I'm hopeful that the company will recognize this gaffe and come to the table ready to negotiate with its pilots, and put this issue to rest.

Don't see where anyone has addressed this yet, but are we 'allowed' to fly 7 days in a row now or greater than 30 in 7? My January schedule has a 4 day on the 1st, and a 3 day on the 5th, no double overnights giving 24 hours off in 7 days. Also, it puts me flying 36:17 in 7 days.
Not well versed in the 117 changes, but didn't think it allowed something like this. Looks like quite a few others have the same thing on their line.

Now we have:
- 100 in a rolling 672 hours
- 1,000 in a rolling 365 days
- 60 Flight Duty Hours in 168 hours (sorta a rolling 7 days)
- 190 FDH in 672 hours (sorta a rolling 28 days)
I'm going to guess the rotations are "legal." There is a learning curve for the schedulers on this. When I called yesterday they were not aware, yet, that 30 in 7 had gone away. Hopefully the computer software has been updated allowing us to pick up plenty of greenslips, because that's where I think this is headed, at least during the transition. I say GS because Junior Assignments are going to be ugly under part 117. (I need to dig into the Contract to see if they can basically put us on an Emirates type schedule ... "home? why would you ever want to go home?" ).

ygtbsm.......so with these new rules, I can now be scheduled for 7 days on, with standard rest overnights, and fly over 36 hours in said period? And this is better? And with 16 hours in domicile between trips. Commuter special.

The issue was rest & duty time. Efficiency wasn't a consideration. Hope you sleep well in hotel rooms.

That is why ALPA and Delta need to start working together to fix some of the holes in our contract (both on the Pilot's and the Company's side) or else we're not going to be seeing much of our homes. (14 days off and 72 hours is my line for next month
)
