I may have to do that also. Bidding top 28% in category and the computer was unable to build me a Normal line with M-th trips, even non commutable. Unreal. Gonna be some unhappy pilots in the coming months!

Yes. But, I don't think there is nothing we can do this month to affect it. Ie., fly all you want, that money is going on your January 15th check, and won't be a part of the profit sharing calculation.
At least I think that's what I was just told.

Either possibility (swapboard pickup or WS) is far greater for short, desirable trips versus longer, not-so-good trips.

Last time was in Jan 2011, but, according to my public math, 687 pilots left Delta without replacement since then, so I don't think dropping the whole line would ever be possible.
We are so much leaner now that reverses will be capped.
All because most of us would rather work a lot more (for a little more in pay) than vote no.
That is exactly what management wanted.
Rant over, sorry!

And you can help your buddies work more if you just put your unwanted trips on the swap board as PU only, do not contact. There are no pickup limits or capped days for those.

rolling thunder
I'm a very junior reserve international F/O with a reserve line in January wondering how to roll like thunder. Any advice? (X days 1st thru the 5th. On call 6th thru 19th. Vacation 20th thru 26th and off 27th thru 31st.)

With the weather pattern (wet) we are experiencing in Georgia this year, March, and maybe February, will be interesting. January is typically drier.
Of course Delta is (are?) rescheduling Ninjas. Watched them put a trip on ATL (which I would have gotten as a GS), then split it and give it to an out of base White Slip, but that did not work, so they finally staffed it with a reserve out of SLC. Fun to watch, but meanwhile we're sitting here like hungry birds with our mouths open for premium flying.

I'll try it. Sounds like I'm in for more of a perpetual drizzle than rolling thunder but I've got nothing else on the agenda. Thanks.
