Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
The best part was, it was Saban who called for the review of the last play, to see if there was any time left on the clock, and it was Saban who decided to use a red shirt Freshman to try a 57yd. feild goal rather than go to O/T.
So when fingers start to get pointed, I'll bet more than a few are pointing at....
Saban.

Sabin probably sent the freshmen out to at least see what he was working with for overtime.
An overtime that never happened. What a game!

My kid up at Auburn just sent me a very funy text mesg with a picture of Saban holding his index finger up, and the caption says;
"Hey Bama, got a second?"
Too funny, and that sure didn't take long!

I don't think he had any other choice. His regular field goal kicker was kicking like crap. (2 misses, 1 block that really was the 3rd miss). I think that's why he went for it on 4th down, as well.

But never did I imagine them catching it deep in the end zone, and running it back 109 yards to win!
I was thinking a Hail Mary would be the safer bet if you want to win or go to over time. When has any college kid ever kicked a 57yd. feild goal, and if Auburn had blocked it and picked it up and ran it in, well, then what?

Yeah we sucked and blew it. Couldn't believe a 57 yard attempt, and then not cover the run back. Bama didn't want it as bad as AU. Worse was hearing it from my AU daughter immediately after the game. And then wireworks going off in my neighborhood!
Congrats to AU, great game for y'all.

Wow. This game and the game against Georgia...hope they don't use all their luck up at once.
On the database topic...a full Foreflight or Garmin Pilot database, including sectionals (WACSs, TACs, etc), enroutes, plates, A/FD and various other flotsam is right at 8gb. Throw in some overhead for the OS, and you're out of space with a 16gb device in a hurry.
Without sectionals, and a tailored Jeppesen database. I'd image that number would be a lot lower.

[QUOTE=Bucking Bar;1530604]Thank you for the report. Will the Company give FDPro to Content Locker users? (if so, I may buy one of George's GPS hockey pucks after all)
That FD Pro is actually a lot lighter than AviationMaps for Android. It's at a little under 6GB, but for my GA flying I keep Terminal and Sectional VFR equivalents and every airport's charts for CONUS and the Western Atlantic. The GPS does not work in jets with heated thick acrylic, but it works great in a Bonanza ... for enroute stuff it's terrific to have your aircraft on the chart ... further it makes a good hozgoezit for the wife + kids. The iPad might be World's better, but the GPS function is a deal killer for the little airplane flying.
So do you think Delta might actually give up on the Win RT project? It seems with Microsoft's (ref Julie Larson-Green) announcement that the third OS does not have a future that we might as well give up development of a product that even MS isn't going to support. After all, the big deal about RT was the locked down delivery of software ... if Microsoft unplugs that then RT is nothing more than Palm OS, or Windows Mobile, or any of the other 26 tombstones in the platform graveyard.
Dead OS are expensive. The last article I read for Symbian was $750 million for development and $100 million a year for ongoing software revisions, updates, etc ... . A dead OS with specialized applications like Delta needs may be a really expensive dead end that we're dragging our vendors down until they simply refuse to go.

Our version of FD Pro doesn't support GPS. I bought a Bad Elf ( GPS only) and a Stratus (ADS B) to see how they worked. They didn't. Foreflight supports both but not FD Pro. At first, I was miffed, but the moving map isn't all that big of a deal and is actually pretty distracting (if you're really thinking you're needing it, you probably really need to be focusing on your NAV display, plus with the mount on the side, it's a royal pain to develop a 90 degree crosscheck). It may be nice at some of the high density airports when taxiing, but in the air-not so much. I can assure you that nobody on the 4th floor knows what the final deal on the Surface will be. They're proceeding as if we're getting it but Boeing-Jeppesen really isn't too keen on writing the software for one airline using the Windows 8 RT OS. We've had the prototype software since June and they kept telling us we would start the test in a week or so. So around August I realized the test wasn't starting anytime soon. At the LCA info desk in Nov, we had the new Surface 2 but still had the prototype FD Pro. I haven't heard an update since the LCA mtg in October when they said we'd be starting the test in another week.

Wow! As long as FSU doesn't do something stupid against Duke in the ACC championship, it may very well be 80 vs FTB this year.
I'd much rather it be that than Ohio State.
Given what I've read in the trial by press already in the papers on Winston, I doubt charges will be pressed. Remember, ftb... no means no!
