True. But they don't get cancellation pay. So I'm thinking holiday doesn't make up the difference.

Because there ain't nothing to be afraid of...

Actually, I have to live in Dawg world and that's why I was petrified of losing AGAIN. If I lived in Birmingham or Montgomery or Huntsville then it'd be different. And it's never fun being the favored team in a rival game. It's more fun to be the underdog who is supposed to lose by 10 and know that's what's been thrown in everyone's face for two weeks.

Why I agree that ALV+15 for domestic categories was a concession, I can't agree that something that has been in effect for a little over one year has prolonged our stagnation. They had a several goals. Make a 1st qtr profit, & make the S&P 500. They weren't going to recall or hire anyone until they achieved those things.

Any wonder he wanted to open Section 6 early?

Played?

Yup.
Not being a math major but: if I reduce my Feb profit sharing amount by 1/3 then multiply my 2012 pay by 2% and compare it the 2% number is bigger. DALPA was upfront in telling us that 2% of the first 4% pay raise would cover the reduction in profit sharing. I believe that if DL makes between 2 bil to 2 1/2 bil the 2% doesn't quite cover but if they make more than 2 1/2 bil then the 20% kicks in and we are ahead.
I guess you could say we got a 2, 8 1/2, 3, 3 percent pay raise compounded and if you feel that wasn't enough I understand but let's not exaggerate the facts.

Y...G....B...S...M. Are you serious?

Once again, you attempt to justify every poor ALPA decision and spin it or downplay it. Face it: We got skinned on C12.

We already know all we need to about their goals: pay us as little as possible and squeeze as much out of us as possible.

What about our goals?

Tell me, johnso29, what are your goals for the next contract? Not management's goals, not ALPA's goals. Your goals.

Perhaps a nice, hearty pat on the back? All-you-can-eat popcorn (funded by profit sharing givebacks, of course) and a new shoe shine machine in the lounge?

Purple, what Johnson said is true. Flight ops wanted to hire much earlier than Richard wanted, guess who won ?. Our oil czar quit because Richard would not let him wheel and deal, he couldn't afford a loss in the 1st quarter. There was a lot put off/ postponed to achieve Richards goal of a 1st quarter profit and being put on the S&P.
Have a great Thanksgiving.
