Gearjerk,

You are a year off on when openers are exchanged. It's Mar/Apr 2015.

Objectively, I look out the window and Delta is, at least in my mind, the #1 job with the #1 pay in the passenger business.
Ah yes, the old cargo business excuse. Still doesn't add up Bar. SWA pilots make FAR more than Delta pilots...not that pay is the major factor. The major factor is SWA pilots haven't outsourced a single one of their jobs. Also, our JV competitor foreign passenger airlines also make FAR more than Delta pilots.

Delta pilots don't lead the industry in any metric. DALPA did that through a complete aversion to conflict.

But ALPA is not talking about Delta pilots leading the industry and reversing our horrific outsourcing problem. The other stuff is nice, but they're ignoring the big picture.

Incorrect. Texas Air is gone. New York Air is gone. Eastern Airlines is gone. Frank Lorenzo is barred from ever working in the airline industry again. That's back when ALPA was a real union...not a pretend union. Richard knows full well what an organized labor group can do when they are united. Sadly, Richard knows that ALPA isn't a labor union.

Indeed. That's why 5,000 of us are backing an independent union...not a pretend union.

Correct. It would fall in the first week of April, 2015.

Oh now the truth comes out. You're angry that DPA's largest membership population is Atlanta. I understand.

Carl
Nah, not angry at all. Just ready for a vote, so we all can move on.

NOTE TO ALL:

C2015 openers will be exchanged in Spring of 2015, not in the spring of 2014.

Roughly 16 months. Start getting informed, determining your priorities, and thinking about your "want list".

Polling is ongoing and the next contract surveys will probably happen in the next 6-9 months.

You embarrass yourself by putting words in others mouths. Accuracy is definitely not your strong suit.

Or, in another three years, you'll still be sitting at 5000 cards because no one else is signing up, & quite frankly, the ones who did sign up, are seeing it as a fruitless effort & not renewing.
DALPA are numbers people too, which makes your latest inaccuracies so glaring. 5,500 cards is a disaster and DALPA knows it. That's why they're funding this "Special Committee". DALPA knows that it only takes 50% of the people who vote to oust ALPA. DALPA also knows that those 5,500 cards are activist voters that will absolutely vote. DALPA knows the remaining 6,500 pilots are not necessarily ALPA supporters, nor activist voters. These numbers are the reason the "Special Committee" is being funded.

Geez. First off, DPA had nothing to do with the enormously divisive (and continuing divisiveness) resulting from the coup that ousted Roberts. Second, openers aren't exchanged until April 2015...not 2014. Again, accuracy is not your strong suit.

No, DALPA realizes how much they've divided the pilot group with this latest recall. But the powerful few within DALPA don't care about that...only acquiring power.

Again dude, accuracy is clearly not your forte. We don't exchange openers until Spring of 2015.

Yes, read my reply to Denny's post. I admitted that my statement of 4.5 months (March '14) was incorrect.

If that is your only counter-argument for ridding ourselves of the lice (DPA), prior to the meeting of a lifetime (C2015), then it's no wonder why you have affiliation to such a scourge of an organization.

My assertion still stands. Good luck deflecting the reason for the pilot groups divisiveness. See you at a Council 20 meeting sometime.
