Kinda funny story on law school. Someday if I ever meet you, I'll tell it to you. Not my proudest moment.
Ok, those schools might help you become the BEST MEC chairman we have ever had. Ill still vote for you!

[QUOTE=volav8r1;1519780]Just used mine last week. Just check in from home and you will be automatically added to the list.

FYI: My wife and I went from MSP to LAX then continued to Hawaii. The flight was a thru flight in LAX with an equipment swap from a 73N to a 757. We did not get upgraded in MSP (shocking right?) but the leg from LAX to OGG was wide open since Delta doesn't allow miles upgrades to Hawaii. When we inquired in LAX as to why we weren't on the upgrade list, we were told that you have to clear on the original flight or you can't be upgraded on the 2nd segment. I was floored! So, short version is: my wife and I sat crammed in the back of a 757 for 5.5 hrs while skywest employees and buddy pass riders stretched out in 1st class!

Also, you are not eligible for premium seats (exit rows, economy comfort, certain isle seats, etc..) unless you pay for it!

Good luck![/QUOT

OK.

Thanks

Default Age 60 Rules

I called DALPA to inquire about the delayed bid results. In the course of the conversation, the duty officer said that the Company was having a hard time dealing with the age 60 rule and it's effects.

I haven't gotten there, yet. Has anyone got information on the practical effects of not being able to pair two 60 year olds?

I bet this has to affect international and augmented crews.

It hasn't affected a crew I've been part of. We do have a few over 60 FOs on my equipment.

I wonder if it's because they don't want a screw up on a December bid since that's the one guys have the most angst over. Seems it always takes a while with December.

I agree wholeheartedly. "A contract is a contract."

But we know DALPA will give up something.

The only question is what it will be.

So would ANY union. What's your point? Or do you seriously believe that we would be able to get everything we want with no concessions whatsoever? You can't be that naive.

It would be nice to get something of roughly equal value in return for our giveaways. History teaches us not to expect that with DALPA's "constructive engagement."
You blindly trust DALPA...and call me "naive?"

You don't think we've given up enough concessions already?

* 42% pay cut
* Bankruptcy Protection Letter waived
* Agreed not to fight termination of pension
* Relaxed scope to allow more outsourcing of our jobs

Those were MASSIVE, career and life altering concessions. On the ledger of give and take, we've done WAY more giving than taking. What more do you think we should be giving up??

Talk about naive...
