Yeah, and by management's definition, he was a mainline Delta pilot. Right, Ed? Remember, "our customers prefer riding on mainline aircraft, those with 70 seats or more." Love when their verbal trickery comes back to bite them.

Is there anywhere on the ALPA website that shows the resumes & agendas for the pilots running for NYC66? I haven't followed ALPA politics much and was trying to figure out if it's best to vote out old and bring in some new.

You won't find anything to do with campaigns on the ALPA site. The only thing you will find are the links to the election process. ALPA is prohibited by federal law from providing any assets towards any election campaigns what so ever. This is a really big deal in federal labor law. Everything has to be hands off.

Candidates MAY use the ALPA email distribution lists for their respective councils, BUT, they must compensate ALPA for the cost of doing so. The cost to the candidates is probably 10X what it really costs, but it is a necessary "firewall" between ALPA and the election process. No ALPA money goes to sending that stuff out.

If you have a good email address with ALPA, you should have automatically received any campaign literature from the C66 candidates. Candidates may also "stuff" the physical mailboxes, but again, that's on their own dime, and subject to CPO approval.

Other than that, you might start with the current representatives (with the caveat that they themselves may be candidates), or someone who you may know that stay's up on the process.

It's a metaphor for the way some guys are trying to run the MEC. If you look closely, one plane has a hand-drawn widget on the tail, the other has the N> thing sketched on.

The politicians are the kamikaze pilots, and the skydivers are the Delta pilots, trying to survive the collision.

I hope this helps.
