Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Before we can approve your child for care... we need to talk to you about your contributions to a certain candidate last year. Why don't you come down to our office in two months to discuss and then we can reevaluate your child's care and whether we will use your BMI as a genetic predisposition that would disqualify your child for care.

So you think we could just start flying 757s in and out of SEA and all those passengers that are now flying AK would jump with joy and come over and fly DAL? Or maybe we culd buy some 747-800s to fly the hub turns... yeah, that'll be the death knell for AK for sure.
And you can vote no if it makes you feel better. Keep in mind that that kind of ignorance of the real issues got us the present head of the federal government.

Now THAT is interesting.
When you have a federal and state law that conflict, which takes precedence? For example: It is illegal to smoke weed as far as the .gov is concerned, but Colorado says it is OK....
Could the SC law mean another secession from the union? At least THIS time there would be a good reason.
eggggggsactly.
Interesting article the other day... I wish I could find it... was that the "tax" (penalty) can only be recovered if you are getting a tax refund in April. What this could lead to is people blowing this whole thing off, changing their W4s to reflect 99 dependents so that the gubbamint takes NOTHING out, meaning that you have to pay in April.. and then they have no vehicle to take your money. The double whammy to the .gov is that they now have less money in the coffers to use for free anymore. Of course John Q won't figure that out, and the ones that this debacle is aimed at don't pay any taxes anyway... but it was interesting.
Also, now that folks are finding that their deductibles are off the charts, hospitals will be in the business of bill collection for those higher deductibles. The hits just keep coming...

Another critical question, this for the drummers.
Neil Peart said Tom Sawyer was the hardest song for him to play. I've listened to Tom Sawyer a jillion times and I never hear the typical Neil P. jewels that are in most of Rush's music. As a non-drummer, the jewels seem the most complex to me. For example, the Beatles drummer Ringo Starr is said to be extremely difficult to copy correctly because he had the uncanny ability to put just the right amount of "lag" in his drumming. I don't hear lag in Tom Sawyer, but in "Time stands still," "New world man," "Limelight" (packed full of NP jewels) there is perfect lag throughout. So, why would he say Tom Sawyer was so difficult.
And Purple;
which insurance plan are you going with?

Rush has a tremendous drummer. I just never could quite get past that Canadian version of Yoko Ono on vocals.
Geddy Lee was born June 30, 1958, in Moosenosehair Valley, Eastern Canada, which is odd because Canada doesn't really exist (citation needed). His mother, Céline Dion, was raped by a masked attacker later revealed to be K.D Lang. Dion tried to keep Geddy a secret. She felt that he would damage her career more than the song that sank Titanic and drowned Leonardo DiCaprio's career. Geddy's birth was a miraculous one, at first the doctors thought he was dead because he made no noise at all. After running tests they concluded that his voice was in fact too high pitched for humans to hear. This made his childhood incredibly difficult. His only friends were a pair of white mice. They eventually got so annoyed with his high pitched screeching that they committed suicide.

So where you have a disagreement you have preemption and the final arbiter over what is right is..
Therefore, it's a tax.

I'm no Newk on this stuff but yes the Constitution reserved to the states all powers not delegated to the Federal Government, then that got muddied.

And speaking of the ACA "tax". Do I get to deduct my health insurance premiums as "taxes".. or will we have to pay taxes on the imputed income we will "receive" from the DAL provided insurance? Somebody gonna pay for those bennies, cause we didn't build it ya know.
So what would be interesting would be to see somebody light up a doobie in the smoking section at DIA, and then the TSA guys go berserk trying to enforce federal law... It would be quite entertaining.

We can deduct our health insurance premiums. From the instructions for schedule A:
"you can deduct what you paid for:
Insurance premiums for medical and dental care, "
