This is going to be interesting. I have heard about the culling of 70 757s by 2015 and the other bit that they expect the 900 to pick up Hawaiian flying and very possibly the beaches out of NRT.

But...... Didn't ALK find out that the 900 could only get out of HNL? Couldn't depart LIH and OGG with bags, people and fuel due to the rwy lengths? Ended up having to depart those airports and stop in HNL to fill up on fuel before heading back to the mainland. Can't imagine SPN and ROR would be any different.

Trying to decided on leaving ER. Commuting to the northwest for lots of China, NRT, and CDG was taking it out of me I now realize. Looking for a domestic a/c when I return. Leaning towards 73n LAX. Not having DBMS access makes it harder to figure out where in a category I would be placed. However LAX would make getting there easy as PHX is home. Buzz, you all cover SNA and ONT like the 757 did/or does?

Go Vols, but more importantly, Go Huskies.

Yeah, but its seasonal. When I started out here about 1/3 of our stuff was SNA with a smattering of ONT during the winter. Lately, its been 100% LAX. I think the 75 and 320 are doing the SNA stuff these days. RJs are doing ONT, for the most part. Hurry back!

The zero additional pilots isn't anything new, that's been the line for a while. FAR 117 basically mirrors most of our contract - the 9 hour flight time per day won't be as useful as you might think since you can't go over it. Also, from what I heard is any less pilots triggered by the 9 hours is negated by more augmentation needed on international runs.

You're off the hook. I won't refer to you as a deadbeat or anything else. It wasn't a fair wager because you didn't stand a chance.

I wish there was a way for someone to bet that I couldn't stay off here for 10 years..... it seems that financial incentive is about the only way I can be motivated to put down the crack pipe...

Thanks for the go Vols thing...

Just got an email from council 81 about a meeting in ATL to recall the MEC chairman? Any info or did someone's kid get a hold of a password?

I believe our contract limits us to 8 hrs flying. To use the 9 hrs would require a downgrade in our contract. I could be wrong.

tr
p.s. that's un-augmented of course.
