Haha! Bar is that you??

Nicely done.

I wonder if it will do similar when doing a circle to land into MDW like we did tonight and being asked to widen out when you're already at 1000 and turning in to the runway.

Not really. We're flying LAX-SEA and LAS these days on the 73. It's great. I think RA is getting a little ****ed with the Alaska and AA situation.

New K. <--Just trying to make a correct observation.
To be fair, it is very noticable they go out of their way to do the diversity thing for who is selected to be in the videos. I don't really care one way or the other except roll my eyes from time to time with the oversensitivity that there can be to show diversity. That being said, actually representing the pilot group would have a lot more average-ishlooking white guys with beers in their hands...

I'm expecting to see you in next year's CQ, newK. Of course you'll have to be wearing your gladiator helmet doing battle with a DC-9 that just won't leave ATL for VCV....

Ha, I'm no Bar. But I did spend 3 years on the bloody thing. Wondering if this gig was all it was cracked up to be at 4:30 AM in Cleveland in January standing on an aluminum ladder which was on an icy ramp with a 7 foot long piece of PVC in my hand. Real confidence inspiring.

I have done quite a few 31 circle to land 22 at the old MDW. Wonder if I could even find the airport today. "It's 72 at O'Hare, 68 on the lakefront, and 73 at the Baby Doll Polka Club..."

I've done two of those flights on the DC-9. One to Stanford, FL and one to (??), Arizona. They don't fight, they just seem surprised when you tell them it's their last flight. After it settles in, they give you a quizzical look that kind of says, "Is that all you got?"

A gladiator helmet would be nice though.

As far as the diversity thing goes, I've seen videos that are 100% one way, and videos, like this one, that were 33% the other way. Because we are all human, I've noticed both ways. But, I can honestly say that neither way has ever rubbed any skin off my nose. Especially, when it comes to who is wearing four stripes versus who is wearing three.

But, like I said, to each his own.
