I keep axing that same question and hearing the same crickets.

There is plenty of manning tomorrow and the two previously assigned guys for short call tomorrow at 0530 and 1100 haven't been used....any ideas?
The 1500L restriction only applies to your last off day. And even after 1500 they can assign you anything reporting noon or after.

All other times on reserve, they can give you SC any time as long as you have 10 hours' rest before your SC start time.

Really, gunship? Ok. But, I'm actually willing to wait until the thing is fully implemented to pass judgments on how it affects the country. I haven't heard any excuses and if it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But, I bet you will find out that 100% of the people who are in the know--regardless of party affiliation, would admit that something had to be done. That's if they were being honest with you. So, just be patient (and a little less tired) and see what happens.

Thanks PD. Just looked at the contract and that's what I deemed. Just never seen or heard of this being done in almost 6 years of sitting reserve. I also have a hunch that the schedulers don't like me much...but that may just be a disgruntled conspiracy theory!

And it is never to early to invest, and you never make to little. (Jim Cramer did it while living in the back of his car) It is a certainty that even the most junior guy on the property can stick a few dollars into a good growth fund. If he can't he really needs to reconsider his priorities. JMHO
I understand what you are saying. But, I think it's important for us all to put on each others shoes. Delta has a lot of senior FO's who don't have a lot of great choices. Throw in a furlough or two, and few kids that are headed to college, a move, and a displacement, or two, and you will get the drift. We should all pay attention to each other. Then we wouldn't be surprised when a lot of guys get very protective of future growth.

For them, the "see what happens" might not be any worse than what they have been through in the past.

Schedulers don't like anyone, except NewK, and it isn't so much like as worship him like the god he is.

You are correct in that anyone and everyone in the know, or was even close to knowing, would agree something had to be done about runaway health care costs. But being "patient and see what happens"? We're already seeing it. And we're going to see a lot worse, which is why the majority of the country has always opposed it.

I'll leave it at that on that issue. I just couldn't stop myself from my original response on this topic after seeing your post "Yes. Everything is HIS fault." You got me going with that one because A: It is his signature issue and B: He's gotten 20 years worth of passes from the media in just under 5 years. If people don't see that then they're not paying attention.

Ok. I'll wait until the disaster is fully implemented.

Ok. We will leave it at that. But, the majority of what is supposed to make the law work is the state run exchanges, and those are just beginning to come on line this year. So, we do have a long way to go before we can really start to evaluate the law. We aren't seeing anything yet, except companies, unions, states, and countless other groups, trying to jockey to get themselves into the best position for the long run.

I also disagree with your statement that the majority of the country having always opposed it. I posted a link to a Heritage Foundations plan from 1989 which looks eerily similar to the new healthcare law. Back then, it represented the conservative idea, as opposed to the Liberal plan of a single payer system. (Que the guy who pointed out what Nixon wanted in the 70's. )

I didn't mean to get you going, but I am paying attention, too. I learned a few years ago that there is really no reason to get fired up about such things. IMO, whoever occupied 1600 Pennsylvania would have passed the same law, and "the other side" would have been complaining.
