Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Got a chance to stand in one of Timbo and Scambo's engines today over at Tech Ops following a maintenance check flight.
Wow. That is some heavy metal.
Definitely not as good as Oregon cheerleaders but still pretty cool.
Not sure I believe it, but the mechanic who lent us a ladder to climb up there said the GE90-115 puts out more thrust at idle than a MD-88 at full rated takeoff power.

Given what was leaked about it... up to a 15% reduction in pacific block hours allowed from current level...that's a good thing it got shot down. alfa harps on block hours as being pilot jobs. That's a 15% reduction in the most senior jobs in the company just being allowed at the drop of a hat..

Essential,
Is that on a good day, or bad day? How is the HMU rigged? Beed values open, or closed.
I figure EPR was put on JT8D's because there's no reliable correlation between anything and anything on an MD88. They must have finally given up and measured Blow as a ratio to Suck.

I don't believe the idle thing either, maybe more than a 73N.

It didn't get shot down. It's being briefed today. Voting hasn't occurred yet.
Not yet.
I'm told there are reps in opposition, but the final vote isn't until tomorrow.
I'll only believe it when I see it, but I think the entire pilot group would stand in unison and render a crisp salute to our MEC members if they do muster the courage to finally say no to one of management's wishes after all these years of being so "constructive".
Even those among us who have supported the course our union has taken since the troubles began way back with Letter 46 would breathe a sigh of relief to see that we haven't been totally neutered.
This dog of an LOA seems like it might be a good place for the MEC to demonstrate exactly that.
