The KC-135 was originally known as the 717.

That's what our union brought us to ratify before Section 6 even began during a hugely profitable year for Delta. It's not my opinion, it's Richard and Ed's opinion.

So that's why our MEC brought us a cost neutral TA to sign. Delta's profits weren't "truly" record. [face palm]

Tell ya what.. Let's do a "cost neutral" contract next time too. The DTW 744 captains will swap pay checks with 215 DTW gate agents!

It'll be "cost neutral" for the company in the eyes of the investment community.. Not convinced the gate agents will think it's "cost neutral"....

The "cost" was taken out of DCI engine maintenance and block hour payments to OTHER AIRLINES and put into the Delta pilot PWA.

Neutral to the enterprise? Well, yes....

Neutral to the pilots? Well, there's more than a Billion reasons that isn't true.

Airport standby removal list should have them in correct order.

Not sure how they slot on "their" equipment (that we bought and pay for).

China is the growth market Carl. Japan is a mature market and the Japanese government has all but said that they want us out. THAT is why I would say sayonara. You love NRT... I miss eastern Europe. Our transAtlantic flights have become NWA. CDG/FRA/AMS and LHR... woo hoo. Screw NRT. Let's go to China and make some real money.
It's not about routes, but block hours. I don't care if we don't fly the beach markets as long as the pilot block hours remain constant and we fly them on more profitable routes. Lose block hours and we lose pilot jobs. Increase block hours and we grow pilot jobs.

So does anyone have details of this TA? Why announce we have it but you can't see it in order to provide input to our Reps?

How much is CPI over 4 years times 12,000 pilots?

There are some limited details posted by Fielding on the ALPA forums. It leaves more questions than answers, though. There are block hour protections, but only at 85% current levels PAC flying and we all know how well they respect contractual flying with the TATL expected non compliance .

Default Block Hours

Can someone give me a quick explanation on why block hours is the new chosen metric of DALPA? Why is it the superior metric? Thanks.

For whatever reason, I haven't been paying attention.
