Because it's part of the contract.

8. A recalled pilot:
a. will return to an entry level position (or by mutual agreement between the pilot and the Company, to a position his seniority would entitle him to hold),
b. may be required to complete training for that position, and
c. will be entitled to bid and be awarded an advance entitlement(s) during training.

Hey, speaking of clean swipes, at 4pm (east) today there will be what could end up being the final Americas Cup races, live on NBC Sports Channel (the old Versus network channel).

The New Zealand team is up 7-1 right now, they only need two more wins, and with two races scheduled today if they win them both, it could be all over for the American team.

The good news is, the American team has been getting better, having won 2 out of the last 3 races, so I'm hoping they can at least split with the Kiwis today. Both boats are capable of foiling at over 40 knots.

Here's a recap of the last two races last Sunday:

We don't have to wait until 2015 and we don't need a "release" to apply a little pressure to management.
We are talking to them about scope right now as I type this. The company needs some modifications to our contract. All we need is the courage and conviction to walk in there and say that "constructive engagement" has been way too one-sided and its about time for some reciprocity.
We simply tell them that 4,8,3,3 isn't enough and unless we get some compensation adjustments beyond the inflation rate then we are done cooperating with every little change to their fleet plan and their grand international plans to expand the "network" using everybody else's planes and pilots.

At least occasionally, ALPA needs to show that it can still be a labor union and not just the pilot division of management.

I am getting sick and tired of my union telling me I have to live in fear of the NMB and there's nothing ALPA can do because American and USAir have such low pay and we need to wait for them to "pattern" up and blah, blah, blah.. That is just a lame excuse and it is bu||$hit.

Delta is minting money right now largely because they are still paying us bankruptcy wages and we are flying our butts off. They can afford to start fixing that situation. And they can do it NOW. If they refuse then they can kiss their Narita codeshares goodbye and any future "engagements" aren't going to be so constructive.
I'm with Check here. The NMB has nothing to do with us fixing the Narita issue and the new rest rules. Tell them to give us some or wait 18 months to start negotiations. I'm fine operating under our current contract for another few years. If they want to change it, then they need to pay and in a way that EVERYONE benefits....like payrates or retirement.

8500ish is around 70ish%. How many years will it take you to reach the 70% mark. There is your answer as to how many years until your earliest upgrade opportunity.

****** Check your new schedules on ICREW. The ICREW schedule is what I wanted for OCT but the OCT BID AWARDS from Deltanet were different. Weird. I am very happy with the schedule uploaded in Icrew for OCT. The OCT AWARDS in Deltanet sucked.

TEN

PS. Why are they different?

I'm roughly 15 years right now. Well over 1000 numbers away from the most junior CA spot (I was in the single digits in 2007).

I've been noticing some funky stuff going on with my awards the past couple days. As I mentioned earlier, there are 41 trips left over in open time, an unheard of amount since PBS began. Most months there are less than 10 trips in open time after lines are built. The lines were posted to DL Net a few days ago, but until just this morning, the open time had not disappeared from iCrew, which is not normal, and they've had our lines in iCrew on the 16th, usually, but not this month.

They might have been re-running the lines right up until the deadline, that's all I can figure, unless there was some other snafu that kept them at it until this morning.

I could actually agree with all of that if you had us collectively take responsibility for our actions. We, collectively, do all these things.

I don't think the problem is our agent, but our playing.

I wish mine was different because I flunked bidding for October and screwed myself. I don't know why your category is different, but on DeltaNet it clearly states:

The bid awards are not final until schedules are released in DBMS.
Please verify your results at that time.

Did you check DeltaNet again to see if it now reflects your iCrew schedule?
