Having lived in CHS I love those layovers....however, they're like 8 hours now. I need like 10 at a minimum. My beauty regimen and all. Therefore, CHS is just an unrequited lover.

All the good 73 trips are ATL. Bid there.

The word of the day is "unrequited."

Check the reasons report. Might have been an unstacking issue.

I actually FTB'd for October (first time ever). All 4 and 5 day trips over weekends. Sonofabiatch!

Default 717 Breaking News...

Delta to delay B717 roll out until November

16SEP2013
Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) is set to delay the introduction of its "new" B717-200 fleet into revenue service until November owing to alleged issues regarding the certification of the airline's chosen exit row configuration at the overwing exits (OWEs). According to md-80.com, the problem has since been resolved but owing to outstanding paperwork, the type's entry into service has been delayed. Delta currently has three out of eight-five ex-Southwest Airlines (WN, Dallas Love Field) B717s, N935AT (msn 55069), N977AT (msn 55036) & N990AT (msn 55134), awaiting deployment. (end)

On the seat maps it looked like they have removed seats by the exit windows... is that a new FAA requirement? The -9/88/90 dont have those seats removed but I've seen other carriers that do. Anyone know?

Default And for the 88/90 drivers:

Delta MD90-fleet reaches 65 active aircraft shortly
Hinterlasse einen Kommentar Geschrieben von MD-80 Headline News - 15/09/2013

Delta Air Lines´ MD-90 fleet will soon number 65 active aeroplanes after the 64th jetliner (N950DN/ex-JA8020) was finally introduced into active service and the 65th MD-90 (N951DN/ex-JA8029) arrived at Atlanta airport. These 65 MD-90s are part of the future combined fleet of MD-88/-90s as well as the Boeing 717. It is anticipated that Delta aims to add additional used MD-90 in the future.

We have the most open time I've ever seen in the ATL 777 A category. There are about 40 trips, normally there are less than 10, sometimes none at all. The problem with our trips is, the shortest one is worth 29, so you can't build a line, two is not enough, three is too much time, so they end up in open time, and we have plenty of reserves to cover it, so they don't go into unstacking mode.

Our cap was low for Oct, 77:30 I think, what was the 765B cap? Are all those trips in their open time the longer ones, where they couldn't build a line? Do they still have a lot of reserves? During the PCS runs the guys with vacations will suck up a lot of the high time trips.

BTW, if you are up and near your TV now (07:30 east) on NBC's Today Show, in a few minutes they are going to run a story on: "Are Airline Pilots too dependent on automation?"

They should run a "Are talk show hosts uninformed, dumb, or just there to instill panic?"

Yeah, well they've pretty much answered that question for us here:
