Indeed - I'm pretty sure there are still people out there who have been displaced into commuting from those basses. But hey, they're junior, so who cares

Oh, and commuting is a choice

You, sir, have raised the bar VERY high. Well done! We are all in awe. We need to convene a NewK, T Square and Carl Spackler summit....the rest of us will just take notes. In fact, if Syria, Russia and the US would be amenable, the real world would work as its supposed to. Just bring the cheerleaders!

There are a bunch of us that are commuting from SLC to other bases. It's always awesome to move to a base and then commute from it.

Agreed. Tsquare has done broke the code. I will sit silently at the summit in the presence of that much awesomeness.

Carl

PS: I also noticed tsquare was wise in bringing that SUV to his cheerleader fishing trip in case he caught the limit.

Probably best to not move to a base until you are in the top 1/2 or so in order to avoid being kicked out.

Yes, how can they legally do this?

Because they probably figured out that most of the returnees would be senior to anyone else bidding those positions?

Default Short Layovers

I see a lot of talk about not doing standups here but no solutions. We currently have layovers that we do that aren't legal anymore. I remember doing the ATL-PTY-ATL that had 9 or less hours of layover time. The new regs require 8 hours at the hotel and a 10 hour break which can include the van ride. If you can't layover one crew on a short layover how do you fix the rotation if you refuse standups? 35 layovers in Panama might be cool, but that's not my idea of productive unless they're going to pay me for it

So you are suggesting we should commute?
