Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
RA has publicly spoken out in support of the AA/US merger for obvious reasons.... increase in stability in the industry etc.
This merger will help DAL pilots whether you want to realize it or not. Pattern bargaining in the years ahead will be dependent on US Airways pay and the quickest fix to the East/West never ending lawsuit saga is this merger. The merger MOU specifically calls for pay to be on par with UAL and DAL by 2016. Just 2 years away.
Let's take 30 seconds and give them some support in asking the DOJ to get their nose out of business.

100% totally agree. LCC pilot wages need to come up to the rest of the industry. If this merger falls apart there will be a 93 dollar an hour differential between a DAL 320A and a LCC 320A. How does that help you when dealing with the NMB? Yep not at all.
ALPA National has opposed the DOJ decisions because getting all pilot costs across the industry effectively equal means pilot costs become a fix cost. This has been a strategic goal ever since the CH11 era. It has taken an extra round of negotiations at DALPA but the only thing standing in our way is this merger going through. Want to have better odds at getting results like C2K? Then the compensation across the industry needs to be effectively equal. This merger going through does just that. Its good for the Delta Pilots even if certain airlines can profit in the short term by the merger failing.

Thanks for the link. It literally took 10 seconds to do it. The gov't definitely needs to let our industry off the short leash.

Bid is out. 75 narrow body A's, some B's. NO DISPACEMENTS. No backfilling for ER B's that move out.
Take a look at the 320 ALV- 84. A quick look at the expected line count in NYC 320 shows 57 line holder Capts/ 54 FO - there are only about 60 in each seat. That is after the weird Aug schec where we had 40% on reserve.
I'm sure it's to pick up the 717 slack, but are other cats going to be this maxed out?

What are system reserve coverages like in that category? NY 7erA has been short month after month for at least 2 years, and the company covers the trips with reserves from other bases or greenslips. This is something that MUST be fixed on the next contract. It has been nearly impossible for a lineholder to drop a trip once the month starts due to staffing.
