Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I hit a deer with my truck on the way to work one day at 55mph without hitting the brakes. I did it on the county line and I knocked the deer over into another county. But nobody knew which one of three counties the land belonged too.
Three days later I get a call from someone very excited to get the deer... I guess there's a list. I know Massachusetts out of all places has such a list.
Anyways, $55 in damage to my F-150. Had I had my wifes Honda Accord that we had at the time, I'd be dead. I got rid of that thing soon after. The deer was big and I t-boned it.

I joke about Airbus, but Boeing makes me mad. Lets start with this article from the Puget Sound Business Journal.
OK, so let me get this straight. Boeing has cash for a 20 billion dollar stock buy back plan which does little other than enrichen certain managers and the McDonnell family ... but if the Export Import gravy is limited THEN Boeing lacks the cash for basic research and development?
It would seem Stonecipher and the folks from MDD that took over Boeing using Boeing's money are just greedy and don't care about ruining one of our nation's greatest companies.
Boeing Co. executives suggested that the company could founder without a viable U.S. Export-Import Bank, in comments made during a Washington, D.C., breakfast with journalists Wednesday.
The event, which also attracted dial-in participation from journalists, was a chance for Kostya Zolotusky, managing director of Capital Markets & Leasing, Boeing Capital Corp., to describe the financial underpinnings for global aircraft procurements. And he didn’t mince words.
Perhaps most startling, for a Washington state audience, was Zolotusky’s contention that the only way Boeing Commercial Airplanes division can thrive is if it can focus its cash flow on research and development, not financing aircraft sales.
He pointed to the former McDonnell Douglas, a former Boeing competitor that was later acquired by Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA), as an example of a company that put its money into financing sales, but not research, and faded away after its models were no longer competitive.
Could Boeing finance its own aircraft sales?
“Yes, we can, but if we do, we don’t have resources to invest in research and development. You can do one, or the other,” Zolotusky said. “Our success to date is entirely built around technological innovation.”

Someone refresh my memory. If your going into X days what is the latest they can give you a SC? You have to be off by midnight for the X day right? If it were a golden day then it would be noon?
Reserve
According to the calculator, if it is a 30 day month, the ALV is 75, and you have 7 days vacation and 3 days training, then you'll have 10 X days and 10 on call days for 82:40 credit. Go Reserve!
Name a part if the body that begins with the letter U...on APC....Underboob
You don't think productivity sits and going from concourse A to D every time you transit Atlanta could be solved by building rotations where pilots and FAs stay with the same plane?
It really is that simple.
Not a knock on the SOT. I think the company, for some reason, likes nonproductivity.

Had one like that. I had about a 48 hour layover in South Dakota around the same time Sturgis was in full swing and decided a rental car was in order. The wife flew up and we drove over to see the festivities. Didn't think that finding a hotel would take an act of God but it ended up unless I was camping there was no where to stay. So we enjoyed the day and headed back to my crew hotel a couple hours away at midnight. About 1am a VERY large deer and I met on a lonely stretch of interstate in SD. The deer didn't make it but neither did my Chevy HHR rental. It was definitely totaled. The wife and I were ok and a state trooper came along about 15 minutes later and drove me to the next exit where we stayed the night. Since the "town" I was in had nothing more than 2x a week bus service, the wife and I ended up catching a ride with some bikers leaving the rally. Had their bikes on trailers of course cause I couldn't see me or the wife hugged up on the back of some random bikers.

It's an interesting demographic that rides greyhound. Mostly the type of people that operate the rides at small fairs or that are one step ahead of the law. If you were a sociologist, it might be interesting. One guy had a giant jar of pickled eggs that he ate nonstop on the ride. Different.

Really?
The pilots clamor for more efficient rotations. We direct the MEC to study the issue. They do just that, and come up with hard data. But now you DON'T want them to publish that? Instead, you want them to provide some wishy washy answer. I thought you wanted ALPA to be more transparent and open in their communications. Or is that only when the data supports your own preconceived notions...
I'm surprised at you, Sink r8; you're generally more level headed than that.

I'm not taking issue with the actions of the people involved, but I find the "marketing" of that effort a little weird. It's easy to see how Flamer might think we're taking ownership of the company's position by justifying it, i.e. "we're powerless to do any better, because it costs money, and here is the justification" (Fail).
A more successful approach would be to say that you've looked at the data/in some cases it costs more to produce better rotations/you've discussed it/the company is exercising their choice not to built more efficient rotations/you'll continue to ask for better/please continue to professionally discuss with your CPO. I don't see how this is being wishy-washy.
As far as submitting the data, they can make their own case, and submit their own exhibits, in defense of their position, and we can market our product a little better.
