With that said, when I say that "you" have been flying "our" aircraft for so long, I should point out that stopping outsourcing would have naturally shifted the definition of "us" to include "you". We're not against more qualified pilots flying Delta jets for Delta, we're against other companies poaching our flying. It's that simple.
Your aircraft? Why did you allow me to fly "YOUR" aircraft while you had pilots on furlough? Doesn't sound very "union" like to those Delta pilots that were on furlough.

If they were "YOUR" aircraft, then they would be on "YOUR" certificate.

I agree that it should have never happened...But it DID HAPPEN! It would have been nice if you had "included" us...but you DIDN'T.

If wishes were horses, beggers would ride...

Had a bud tell me that he has been over there talking to their pilots. Are we going to go and represent them too?
Why is the ASA MEC saying that LM is going to take care of ASA? Sounds like both sides are hearing this....

Joe won't like it much when "his" flying is shipped to a lower cost regional like PCL or Compass.
Then why is the Delta MEC Chairman telling the ASA MEC that it doesn't matter what our cost structure is because they are going to "protect" ASA...Is somebody lying?

THE FLYING YOU ARE DOING IS DELTA's....NOT ASA's.

YOU ARE A CONTRACT PILOT, FLYING WHAT DELTA ALLOWS YOU TO.

YOU CANT NEGOTIATE ANY OF THAT FLYING. THE DELTA PILOTS DO.

Simply put.... the flying, the aircraft, there ALL Delta's. Don't think so? Well try fighting it when the pendelum begins to swing the other way. We'd all enjoy the laugh.
So then why were we flying your aircraft while Delta pilots were on furlough? Shouldn't they have been able to fly their airplanes instead of being furloughed?

On what airplane would it take you 10 years to match your CRJ200 pay? I'm on year 3 pay and my pay rate is 96.52... With the Jan 1, 2010 adjustment it'll be 100.29. That's year 3 pay and doesn't even include DC.

BTW, my gross pay in august was 10,400 for flight pay alone...

1. You are comparing 757/767 vs. CRJ200. I am comparing the DC9/Maddog pay vs. the 700 pay....Look it up.

2. Are you factoring in the lost money from each year up until your pay reaches parity? Bucking Bar has a spreadsheet that does a pretty good job with that.

3. As this DAL/NWA merger shakes out, the 1-3 year Widebody folks are going to become a thing of the past....You have many NWA folks who have spent many years in the DC9 who are going to come on over...The last few years were an exception.

You're assuming 10 years on the MD-88. There is no one here on the MD-88 with 10 years without that being their choice. You don't fly the CRJ-700- I was making your comparison a bit more accurate.

I reached parity last year.

3ish year widebody folks will still be around for a while. NWA guys and DAL guys will bid around the system as their seniority allows and as bids allow... It will take it some time to play out and you're kidding yourself if you assume to know how it will actually play out. Besides, there are not many DC-9 guys with the seniority to bump me off the 767 out of ATL... but that's for a whole other thread diversion in itself with out hte coming bids will play out.

ACL- those are skills! You've long since figured out how to make the rsv system work. This is another reason why I'm voting for your best friend as rep.

I think that is his point my man...he is only in his 3rd year. You remind me of General Lee on FI, you will never listen.
