With 4 kids I can say, Been there, Done That! It only took me about 27 years to get a couple weeks off in July to go diving, but I've also got a 67 hr. month to show for it.
Of course I could be at home and chasing greenslips, but I prefer time off when the kids are off, (before they move out!) to Mo'money.
As one Capt. told me years ago:
The problem with GS's is, you have to show up and fly them!

I'm restricted by the wife from doing a gs this week. Too many things to do on her list! I guess not a bad thing since none have gone out that I would have gotten...

Then I realized I need to go bid.
"it sounds like"
"they probably were"
"I think......"
"they must have......"
"no one saw........."
Keep up your statements boys. I just hope none of you heroes who are quarterbacking this accident end up on the other side of this equation someday. But it can't happen to me, right? says the innocent pilot with the little evidence released by the NTSB.

That was sort of foolish what ALPA put out today. All the NTSB is doing is putting out factual data without conclusions. That is standard protocol.
A bit concerning considering the emails I'm getting now from the DPA on how close they are to filing. I'm afraid the DPA leadership doesn't have the maturity level to take over and run things appropriately, but ALPA keeps on helping them out.

It certainly is. The hard data belongs to the NTSB, therefore it belongs to us. As soon as it's retrieved, it needs to be made public. Conclusions and probable cause are another matter as you state. ALPA should know this, but instead the Chairwoman had to remind them and embarrass them (us).
None of the DPA leadership after a decertification of ALPA has been elected by Delta pilots yet. So their maturity level can't be judged.
