PBS Computer: Where's your bid? Come on now. I just did several thousand bids of whining and complaining and wants and demands and of course nobody cares about me. Just themselves. Where's your bid? No bid? You trust me? SOMEONE FINALLY TRUSTS ME?! I reward thee...

FTB: Okay, here's what I am thinkin

PBS Computer: [blank] you.

It'd suck even more to fly international as a 757/767 Captain at 35-40 years old.

Of course, there is some give and take with that above.

Don't fall into that age group, but I guess you missed the part about seniority. I like having junior and senior equipment. You have choices....QOL or money. Very few of us can have both. I just wouldn't want to be forced into flying DKR and the like. My preference is domestic. Done enough INTL flying and want it to be my choice. Would you bid domestic if LBP happened tomorrow? My guess is you would along with many others WB capts.

I swear I get so confused with the LGBT and LGBT pay... wait... LBT pay?

Acronyms are as confusing as the ones used here and at work and by ATC.

That's the whole reason he's been pushing it. He wants his 756/67 capt paycheck and the seniority of bidding senior on junior domestic equipment.

Also, whatever you're having for lunch, he wants that too. You'll be senior one day so give up your lunch.

Yeah, we're about to start hiring like crazy, man. Everything will be good. Why if you look at the small "excess" he have, and the productivity gains, and then look at all the mad retirements coming up in...well W T F is this? 2017?
Well it looks like we're good to go with our 650ish total retirements through 2016, but MAN OH MAN will things rock for you junior guys starting in 2017!! I'll bet that by 2018, after only 18 years at Delta, you guys will be able to hold weekends off WITHOUT flying 100% redeyes! Go you!

Today was a real peach for me...I was displaced off of what I was displaced to, before I even go to it. A new low for Delta, we are displacing faster that we can displace.
I guess 2 negatives don't equal a positive. I was displaced 4 times in my career and it sucked every time. I know this sounds like a broken record but there are good things on the horizon. Here's hoping it's not a mirage.

Every "little thing" adds up to more suffocating stagnation regardless of what the so called "optimists" (usually guys already in a good position in the hierarchy or nibbling off the union milk) say. Early retirement programs that fail to replace lost pilots, more productivity including increases to what reserves can be flown (it's happening now), changing the number of days in a bid month, unchecked scope violations and flying going everywhere but to mainline Delta pilots (JV partners, Virgin Atlantic, GOL, Aeromexico and outsourced RJ flying 2.0 enabled by C2012). etc, etc. And now we have those here who want to give the company even more for their own personal benefit.

Great summary Jack. I never sent a card to dunkin doughnuts but after seeing the company's B.S. message so perfectly matched with the union B.S. I am considering the other path.
