What's wrong with that?

Imagine I t-boned your car in a parking lot and said sorry so sad gotta go. You'd complain. And if I saw you every day you'd complain. And you'd complain if I said quit complaining, its annoying. I wonder how many times I'd have to say quit complaining before you just stopped?

Oh btw, I'm the police officer, judge and jury if you want to sue. So let me add, quit complaining, if you want something done go to court.

I guess I don't mind you complaining.............if it was just complaining. But, you also tell me that I'm some sort of weak dick traitor or other things from the comfort of your keyboard. Knowing full well that you would get slapped up the side of your head if you said such stuff in real life

So, here's my example. You're the bird on my patio, prancing and taunting. I'm my wife's house cat, behind the glass door begging and crying to get to you. We both know if I could get out, I'd bring your body into my wife to show what a good kitty I am for controlling the bird population in her yard....or at least make you leave my patio.

Good thing we're both just keyboard warriors eh

So...................once again..................I think the standard is, would you REALLY say what you type in a bar to a guy with a half full mug of beer in his hand????? Probably not, and why it bugs me guys say provoking stuff on here.

Bar,

Was this the article you were talking about a few pages ago? (Might've been more than a "few" pages ago, seeing how fast "L&G 'bout DAL" moves.)

I'm all for illuminating an injustice. If you feel you've been wronged, then by all means you should seek a remedy. I'll offer that "complaining" does little but allow you to blow off steam.

Your judge/jury/police comparison is not lost on me, but I think you're giving up on the system when in fact it is not totally broken.

Is our system cumbersome? Yes.

Large with a lot of inertia? Yes.

Does it need fixing? Yes.

Is operating within the system we have more effective than "complaining"? IMO, absolutely.

The usual suspects on this board (and the other one) are totally within their right to seek improvement. Just imagine how much change this faction could achieve if they rolled up their sleeves and chose to work within the current system (reality) rather than "complaining."

The institutional paranoia and knee-jerk reaction that your own MUST be screwing you is another hindrance that we, as a group, need to overcome. Some will undoubtedly respond with something along the lines of "when you've been sold out so many times, you start to realize....." To that I'll point out again, do you just want to vent/"complain"? Or are you willing to work within our reality to seek a meaningful improvement?

My 2 cents

Well, you don't choose a cat.........a cat chooses you. Mine died awhile back and even though I was told I could choose the replacement.......I didn't. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, all I am to her cats is the guy who bumps them off their side of the bed when I'm home That and the little creeps have never understood who REALLY buys the kibble

That's a good two cents. I'll take it.

Here's my two. People want to say "quit complaining" because they don't like what they hear and don't want to engage.

But a forum is nothing more than a place for the free exchange of ideas and information whether you agree or disagree. Saying "hush" or "quit complaining" isn't a free exchange of ideas or information, it's just trying to clear away dissent.

Saying "you're wrong because [XYZ]..." is imho how one should respond.

Engage on the merit of the idea.

I'm the bird? You're the cat?

keyboard warriors ain't got nutin on image.google.com warriors and house cats with poor depth perception ain't got nutin on F-16 Eagles.

Would I get an infraction if I showed a eagle disemboweling a house cat in public? I found one.

Look if people are going to be ugly, let em'. Shows more about them than you right? For instance, go back a year and look at some of the stuff directed at me because I took the TA's Section 1 numbers, the old PWAs Section 1 language, a math question posed here for background and calculated some things out. The correct response just needed to be that the math is wrong right here or right there or somewhere and that'd be the end of it. But it's not how it went. Which made/makes me wonder, and fear, the math is right and either something was missed or our view of give and take leans more towards surrender.

As to traitor? Nobody is a traitor for voting TA 2012 up or down imho.
