Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Interesting peek behind the curtain of low cost outsourcing:
Colgan warned by FAA about safety prior to 3407 crash - City & Region - The Buffalo News
As a result of NWA's ownership of their regional carriers, this "Continental" accident went to Delta's bottom line. From an insurance underwriting perspective, this was Delta's second fatal accident following Comair.
One of my biggest complaints with outsourcing is that we can't get anyone to make an honest appraisal of it's performance. Do we include the costs of two fatal accidents in the results? Those costs are more directly allocated when Delta owns the carrier.

The one thing that would be interesting is if one carrier got a CRj900 or E175 in-house. Not the E-190 which DAL doesn't seem to want and doesn't care if JB or UsAir operates in-house, but a jet that is a pillar to DCI.
"It seems they have figured out what we were up to"
"Yeah, but it's too late for them. Can you believe it just keeps on working, over and over?"
"They are trusting and risk avoiding as a group, so I am not surprised."
"Wait until they see what is next"
"Yup, might as well lock it up now"
Question, who's talking

GS trigger with vacation
Wondering how the Green Slip trigger works when one has vacation during a month? Iow is it even worth trying for GS with vacation? Does it change if one is on reserve for the month?
Thanks in advance

Your vacation time counts towards the GS trigger. That was changed like two contracts ago, the JCBA I believe.

Freebird,
Got to Icrew>Pay/hours>Timecard>Display/Print Timecard.
About halfway down the page it will list your Credit applicable to the Green-slip trigger and also what the Green-slip trigger is for the month.
Remember even if you are short of the trigger you can still take 5 hours out of your bank to hit the trigger. You can even go negative in your bank to hit this trigger.
So yes, its worth it in a vacation month to put in for a Green-slip. Also lets assume that after taking 5 hours from your bank you are still, lets say 3 hours short of the Green-slip trigger. Well if you pick up a 13 hour Green-slip the first 3 hours will apply to meeting the trigger and the next 10 hours will pay as a Green-slip.
