This is weird. The word "funny" seems to be used on APC in the way "pathetic" is used elsewhere in the world. Might be an IE 10 issue, just like IE 9 had trouble computing dates on deltanet, and would display "late 2012" if you input "when hell freezes over".

Well, lets apply the standard "you guys don't like this because youre junior" and "you'll be senior one day and you'll like it then."
The first person who gets that in a response wins.
It's funny, right when you've got the company in position to need to hire and AE people upwards we cater to a few so as to have a displacement bid and delay hiring another year.

On the seniority jabs its probably not the senior guys in category who have a problem with this. Its probably the junior line holders. The senior guys can bid and make it work. The junior guys get hosed.

Do we not get paid for the systems CD for aircraft initial training? I put in my completion code and I don't see anything on my time card.

It appears on your time card for the month in which your 100 series begins, and is way at the bottom between your vacation time and authorized personal drop status.

It will appear on day 1 of your 100 series, when your instructor marks that day as complete. He/she will verify the completion, and the time will appear. Of course, in my case, it did not. A call to the fleet manager rectified the situation.

Sailing,
I personally would be in favor of this, or a very similar solution. What do you think the chances of this happening are? And by that I mean how receptive would the pilot group as a whole, DALPA and the company be?

There are multiple ways to handle this issue without increasing the pickup limit. Its been a long term problem in a handful of categories. You could get the company to build more short trips as one solution. You could go to a 60 day bid cycle as another solution. You could resurrect bow wave and spillback as a third solution. I really doubt the end result will be a increase in WS pickup limits. Pilots have gone to their reps with a complaint. The union can and should look into the issue.

But on the other side of the table would I be wrong to assume WS to ALV++ would be the desired solution?

Ok, am I the first one to say this? The new JFK T-4 sucks!!! Moving walkways already broken. 25 minutes from security to B-38. Only access to the pilot lounge is via an elevator that doesn't always work. Oh, and there are flies in all the urinals and the new black chairs were designed for midgets! Also how about those idiotic swithback ramps from the gate house to the jetway entrance. Whoever was in charge of the overall design gets a huge FAIL from me.

Oh and while we're at it, senior reserves have a right to sit at home all month while junior reserves fly to ALV+15 and a tiny handful of senior FO's can LCA buddy bid and get the month off or GS a regular line for triple pay! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!
If we can get the domestic 76 category reverse reinstated so guys can use their seniority to do that instead of using their seniority to avoid intl in the first place we'll really be cooking with gas!
And if we really get short, we can let retired pilots come back.

So what are the details on that new Seattle Flow Through?
