[QUOTE=Carl Spackler;1420256]Once again, you're the only one talking about job losses. I've never claimed that. What I've said is that we have a very large surplus of pilots. Please ask your ALPA handlers how you should respond to that...not job losses.
Also, I've asked you to post the block hour plan that you've stated is "out there". Can you not find it? It was posted at the road shows. Did not bring a camera.
No we weren't sailingfun. In my category we routinely had between 1/3 and 1/2 the entire Captain list on reserve. Same with a number of other categories.
Was that not when 2 aircraft were parked and others were in the lie flat mod line?
Carl, actually 196 pilots took the early out. About 20 of those were not flying. That left 176 pilots. A significant number of come back from Mil leave to a Captains seat. Lets call the net loss about 140 jobs. We saw a 1 percent reduction in block hours the year the contract was signed. That's about 50 more Captains jobs. So now were around 90 jobs lost. They did not backfill most of the 330A seats because of the mod line. They will backfill those next summer. Lets not even count that. Then the company added over 200 new Captains. Show me how that adds up to massive job loss. Show my how it adds up to any job loss!

Below is from today's council 44 hotline. It appears we may be loosening the WS max pickup. It sounds like it is because of long trips in international categories so it will probably be changed for domestic as well. ALV+15
Item 6. White Slip Pickup limit: We have received feedback from several pilots on the inability to white slip after their initial PBS award due to the long length of the trips in their category and the pickup limit. Your Reps and the MEC are aware of this issue. MEC Resolution AI 12-123 was passed last year directing the MEC Chairman to pursue a solution to this problem.

I wish. This will be yet another productivity enhancement and comes at a time when the schedulers could use it most. Funny on the timing of this announcement...summer and some believe it was a mistake we didn't hire. This seems like an admission of said mistake.

The first person who gets that in a response wins.
It's funny, right when you've got the company in position to need to hire and AE people upwards we cater to a few so as to have a displacement bid and delay hiring another year.
