Under the old contract that was true (but paid 9:45). Under the new PWA the CQ days will replace an on-call day.

So you will have 15 days of reserve, 3 days of CQ.

Pay is more complicated without knowing the ALV for your cat. but:

Go onto deltanet and download the "PBS gouge" at the bottom of the crew resources and scheduling page.

A DALPA guy created a spreadsheet that you can plug all types of variables into and get your pay, days of work, x-days etc for reserve duty.

The 717 from the last bid still has unfilled positions because they couldn't draw down from other fleets. If this one is self funding it would have to be an extremely myopic targeted "one from here, two from there" and even then what's the reasoning behind the sudden accelerated no notice AE dropped on us 2-3 months before the one they were going to do anyway?

The timing of this one really makes it look like we're either going to hire soon or keep shrinking to profitability.
It's because they are hiring all 2300 pinnacle pilots at the end of the year to staff the 717s and 737s (I'm kidding, I'm Kidding)

ATL 88B!

23 GS today as of 3pm. now just imagine how bad it would have been if the contract had made us less productive not more?

I hear certain senior 9E pilots are finally working on getting their degree.

Imagine that awkward interview....

"So you want to work at Delta?"

Yes!

"I see you were hired at 9E in 2000."

Yes.

"Did you apply to Delta in the 2007 hiring cycle?"

No.

"Did you apply to Delta in the 2010 hiring cycle?"

No.

So why are you here today?"

I was told this was just a formality and the job is mine.

"Thank you for coming!". (points towards the exit door)

Oh. I'll see you in 6 months then. And as a reminder, you are contractually obligated to hire 12 of us per month no matter how good or bad the applicant may be. Bye and see you in 6 months for my contractually obligated 2nd-chance interview.

But, here's a thought...

If you just made a decision to keep 320's and/or buy 321's, and 330's to arrive in short order, and you just had an AE where you displaced a lot of 320 and 330 pilots, why not put out a new AE with the quickness so those guy's & gal's can use their reinstatement rights don't have to go to training?

Disclaimer:

That thought only makes sense if a lot of the displaced pilots, from the last AE, haven't started training yet.
I'd say most haven't started training so I think you're assumption is possible.

However, would these 321s be new? Because it'd take a while to get here. We still don't have the 739s yet.

And 4 in MSP, 2 in CVG and 2 in NYC. Of all of those (including FTB's above), 17 are 2nd GS of bid period and 2 are 3rd GS. Captains have 4 out of base/instructor GS's (CVG/MSP) and 2 IA's (those in MSP). This while we are still staffed at or close to what we had before the last AE chopped MSP88B by 30 and -A by 20. Maybe someone realized they were wrong and that explains the new AE?
Prediction: MD's out of 717 categories BACK into 88's!!
You THOUGHT you'd get the summer off ...

Because when Branson and Anderson met, there was a secret deal to acquire VX and get new A321s.

Don't believe the decision to do the extension has been decided yet.
