Grow or die. But that has nothing to do with the topic at hand which is how these RFPs denote growth.

Sailing?
Very well said, who else is tired of hearing "capacity restraint"?

All you can do is read the companies fleet plan. The wide bodies are planned for additional flying in the pacific. The possible narrow body purchase ïs in addition to the 100 737's planned as replacement aircraft. They are not planning to increase retirements at the mainline. They are however now planning a additional 25 50 seaters coming out of the fleet as those narrow bodies come online. The fifty seat fleet will stabilize at 100 airframes instead of 125.

We have 100 737's arriving to replace the 757's. in addition 25 of the 757's that are planned to be retired are all ready parked and not in revenue service. If Delta purchase 40 additional airframes via the two new RFP's we will put into service over 240 airframes in the next 4 years. We also hold options for 30 more 737's. the fleet plan has us parking 85 757's in that period. There will be some A320's parked in Addition to the 757's however the net gain in airframes should be around 130 hulls. That number includes the 90's not yet in service.

Sailing, I listened to Richards interview with Bloomberg and heard him say we would be down to 100 50 seat RJ's as well.

My question is how many 90's are left to be added? Also interesting that ATL concourse A&B have freshly painted lines for the 321

Our new gates in San Diego have a321 spots as well. So that's like a dual verified bi-coastal rumor confirmation. SAN a321 pilot base while we're at it. Why not?
