Well... the rest of the story ... I was not who she was expecting ... fortunately she and my client were cool about it and laughed it off. To her credit, she gave me the beer. Did take her younger sister out a couple of times, until she figured out I was just a nerd without a whole lot of money (which actually works out perfectly).

Was that at the Nashville Jet Center by any chance? When I was flying the Turbo Commode I had to take one down there for both engines to get their hot sections overhauled (Garrett 331's). I was solo and it was only supposed to take one day, so the boss said I could bring my girlfriend...which I did. A Mile High Club event!

Anyway...we left Lawrence, Mass early, like 6am, to be there when they opened, drop the plane off, they gave me a bottle of Jack D in a nice metal box with two shot glasses. Next morning when I came back to check on the plane, it wasn't ready, so the guy gives me another metal box of Jack w/shot glasses. The girl and I go to Opreyland for the day.

Next day, we show up at noon, like they told us to, and the plane is "almost ready" and here's another box of Jack while you wait!

About 4:30pm it's finally ready, but empty, so they call the fuel guys to top it off, and guess what you get with every top off??

Another box of Jack!

I gave one to the boss of course, for letting me bring the girl, and one to our mechanic, because I always take care of my mechanics! That was over 30 years ago, I still have one of the metal boxes and the shot glasses, but I don't know where that girl is today! She dumped me when I went to UPT. Win-Win!

Meanwhile, I want:

Screw 55 degree V Twins. There, I said it. Used to own several, tired of hearing them make noise all weekend long.

These are the moments in life when you should have just posted a reply with smiley faces and thumbs up. You would have been admired by your peers for many posts!

Btw, youre still the man for witnessing that. I have a few stories of pax doing odd things (even a few celebs ) on corp jets

Meanwhile, while asking to shut down ImExp Bank Financing, we get some of it:
Brazilian airline GOL, a partner of Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines, will get a second round of financing from the U.S. Export-Import Bank for engine maintenance by Delta.
With the $45.5 million Ex-Im Bank loan guarantee announced Thursday, GOL engines will be shipped from Sao Paulo to Atlanta for heavy maintenance by Delta’s maintenance unit, which the bank said supports about 400 jobs. The Ex-Im Bank, which boosts exports of U.S. goods and services through financing, last year announced a similar loan guarantee worth $84.8 million for GOL maintenance by Delta.

AC-95. Great airplanes. I flew a 900 with -10's and full glass. Once you figures out how to taxi it, it was great to fly IMO

Or pilots even ... was flying coworkers home from a Nascar race when someone came up with the great idea of throwing the empties at the pilot. After the second can wizzed by somehow the cabin began a steady climb.... Don't know if it was the late hour, or the drone of a PT6, but inebriated middle aged men sleep like a baby above 10,000 feet.

A block away from the Rosevelt, 160 feet deep.

So when you think you heard something go KAboom (like light off on an MD88) and the bed shake ... it was not your imagination. It was a new set of tunnels going in and out below Grand Central.
