Sounds like a 30-day break I had in EGUN. Not as great a deal as you would think when you're coordinating MX, Dips, etc., and your expected departure is always 2-3 days away. But it did have the benefit of each day ending with a few good pints at the Bird in Hand.

The funny thing is, that is probably exactly what happened.

To pile on the USAA bashing, I have been a loyal member for 15yrs and haven't had any real negative experiences except for my homeowners policy with them. I am a FL resident and 7 years ago my yearly cost was $700. Every year they increased it and every time I called to make any updates they also increased the premium. As a loyal member I didn't question them and assumed they were giving me a competitive rate.

When they tried charging me $2700 this year I figured I should get some other quotes and sure enough found a national company with the exact same coverage with 1/2 the deductible USAA was charging for $1500.

The bottom line is I've enjoyed their services in the past but their product isn't worth twice the market rate in my book. I think they are trying to price themselves out of the FL market and are milking customers that are too lazy or loyal to shop around. I was pretty upset I didn't shop around sooner.

Sounds like my 8 days in EGUN, but I got to miss an ORI, taxied at home right behind the last ORI mission! Or my two 2-week Hawaiian vacations, courtesy of Lockheed's Whale.

That beats getting out of a one-month trip to Jordan living in a tent--well done!

JFK lounge is pretty sweet, they did a great job. BUT, whoever ordered the black recliners: Epic FAIL! They are hard as a rock, don't recline all they way and the leg rest is so short that more than a few minutes trying to lay down in them and your feet fall asleep. The Sleeping room lights are automatic and don't turn off. It's as if they Don't want us to get rest in there. I see some speed tape appearing soon for the sensor.

Rest of the lounge: Superb!
