No, I stated that it was for longer trips and used some international trips as a example. I also don't work for DALPA.

I know you don't work for DALPA.

The longer trips are only international trips. Nothing is over 5 days outside of international, and you repeated it many times specifically noting the asia flying. Too late to back pedal now!

For a while the answer to all MD90 questions were "IOE."

If these Alaska rumors are true, you can bet they'll sure as hell argue they should be integrated senior to the Douglas fleet. They'll not be pleased to see that thing coming back. They have added 40 percent to their list since 2009.
Bar, it was not that long ago that Alaska recalled their last furloughed pilot. There is no way they added 40 percent. 10 to 15 percent maybe.

We have 5 day domestic trips worth 28 hours. Under the old system a reserve could not be used for those trips after exceeding 42 hours credit.

Yet you repeated over and over about Asia flying and that covering long international trips was the reason for ALV+15, and that domestic categories were not the reason for ALV+15.

Sailing,

I like reading your posts and can agree with some (not all) of what you say but this is disingenuous (sp?) at best. If you are going to add numbers to one figure but not add them to another, it's an invalid comparison. You need to add the previous contracts international override and DC contributions etc to the previous hourly wage to get a more valid comparison. If you are comparing it to pre-merger numbers, you need to find out what those numbers are otherwise just use a straight hourly wage comparison.

Well.... Under the new system, they can use a reserve for this exact scenario---and then still add an additional 15+ hours to their schedule.

He's the king of fuzzy math and half truths. I'm surprised that it doesn't cause heartburn.

Carl's increase in pay is $30,000 more than my entire taxable W2?

Rumor for today: A buddy of mine at Cathay says the rumble there is DAL looking at six of their 747-400s. Anyone got more intel to keep the rumor alive?
