It's a different world out here 80, its a different world. If I hadn't married a Valley Girl and moved out here for employment while furloughed, I never would have stumbled onto this wonderland.

Where's the harm? As Jefferson said "neither picks my pocket or breaks my leg."

... and yeah I got no idea if another pilot is gay and generally don't care unless Mila Kunis is involved.
I'm fairly sure the company's position is that there is nothing to be understood about any type of slur -- except, maybe that they are wrong.

I'm sure there is something written down somewhere about them not being tolerated, as well. That's regardless of if you know the person who heard you say it is part of the "group" or not.

Your two hundred and thirty one year old quote sounds good, but it really doesn't apply in this situation. Jefferson dealt with a lot of things, but he never had to share a flight deck with his neighbor for 7+ hours at a time.

There are a few openly gay pilots in LA. One you wouldn't know unless it came up. The other spends the 1st leg (or day depending) and telling you - justifying - and defending (very strange - he has a semi-large NFL.) And as previously stated the F/O is a large buff ass kicking machine. I see no problem in it either way unless you are making comments that make others uncomfortable. If ER is gay I can imagine how uncomfortable it would be to listen to a guy go on and on about F this and homo that. But I would think that Capt would be open enough to tone it down if ER would have said "Hey man - can you tone it down a bit." This pilot group is very laid back and open to communication for what I have seen.

Baja.

Precisely Baja. I've never had any problems. A tool here and there but we're all big boyz.

You need to. Its "so 80's." Plus, the Josie Cotton tunes make it all worthwhile. Anybody else in to Josie Cotton??

The way you spelled "boyz" suggests intent.
