Ouch! The latest FCB on the 767 says it all.
Suspect arrested in Boston. Hoping they release him on bail, give him a ride to South Boston and drop his ass off.
Edit: Conflicting reports on suspect.

Yeah, it's going to be high. I flew in the back of a UCAL -900 awhile back and talked to the guys. Apparently, getting slow on landing or rotating quickly = tail strike. Pretty nice in the back though. Same SWA induced overhead panel up front though. Bummer.
The 900s will have the SFP (Short Field Performance) Package installed from the factory.
The approach speeds for 140K lbs are:
-800 Flaps 40 - 139 -- Flaps 30 - 146 -- Flaps 15 - 154
-900 Flaps 40 - 136 -- Flaps 30 - 140 -- Flaps 15 - 147
If you adjust for the -900 higher MLW the approach speeds are about the same, but the -900 will have carbon brakes vs the -800s steel.
The -900 will need 200 ft - 900 ft LESS runway to complete a full stop with two engines at the same weights.

The SFP is fairly simple, too. It involves having the slats maintain a seal with the wing throughout all slat extension angles. It's amazing something that seemingly small can affect the speeds that much.

I'm not a mod, nor pretend to be one, but I would bet that of the top three things management would be most flustered to see posted on a public forum from its pilots are critiques of the training department. Perhaps some of these are better suited for the critique made available when you complete your training.

Any Pensacola commuters out there that don't park in the employee lot anymore?
They raised the rates from $20 per month to $60 and then will increase to $90 per month next April. The city laid off all the van drivers so there is no longer shuttle service from the lot.
Because I'm a cheap SOB I don't want to get gouged and I was hoping there was some safe relatively close parking maybe within a mile walk to the terminal.
Please PM me with info/gouge on where best to park.

Why, that's because the training department is infallible. The instructors have extensive recency of experience on the line, and the distributed training is both informative and completely comprehensive. Now, back to highlighting the entire F.O.M.
